wait, so i can take for example 1,3,6,8 note from the g maj scale and that will form an arpeggio? but thats only playing useing diferent notes from g scale , hows that an arpeggio ?
@Relics416 the advantage of giving a lesson with so much distortion for an arpeggio is to more easily find the mistakes when playing, because if you screw up in distortion you'll notice it a lot more compared to playing it clean. Plus, most people play arpeggios with distortion from what I've been seeing.
this may be an electric guitar thing.. but it's very frustrating to learn when you keep sliding your fingers all over the place.. i think you do that to mute the guitar or something, i'm not sure.
Well, if you play all the notes together and at the same time, you get a different way of playing a G chord or a C chord. Its the same sound.
If you play a G major chord, and then play the G major scale, the chord contains the same notes that the scale has. In other words, you could just solo out of the G major scale over top of a G major chord. G Ionian would also work, because it is the G major scale.
Just use a major chord and its corresponding major scale. C to C, D to D, E to E, etc.
i notice that your playing an arpeggio, but the B and e strings, what are you playing on them?..not on the arpeggio that you made but the first basic arpeggio that you showed us.
