  • Have a Toshiba Satellite that won't turn on with battery or ac adapter plugged in,only get orange battery light blinking 6 times. HELP!!

  • Can you help me out on a problem? My Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5041 Charger For some reason, IDK broke? Well one day at first i started to get plugged in not charging messages but i know how to fix that and a few days ago the charger stopped working unless I put the cord connecting to the jack that plugs into the computer at a certain angle. Now suddenly today my charger completely stops working and I keep moving the charger around but nothing works.

  • @encounter99 Sure if your in FL bring it by the shop if you would like us to take care of that.. Otherwise your welcome to send that to us and we will get it working like new 321-332-0710

    All the best,

    -Pete

  • @mixcatcom crap i live in CA

  • I just replaced the power connector in my Toshiba. I was lucky in that it has a cable that connects to the motherboard, so there was no soldering involved. The biggest challenge was taking the laptop apart, and there were a lot of screws, but I put all of them back. Happy Days!

  • @ErtyOpas nice! Great work.. Happy holidays to you too..

  • @mtb416 for the price they are great quality units.

    -Pete

  • Okay I Have A Toshiba Satellite l350-14F And The Charging Unit In The Laptop The Rod Thingymabob Has Fallen Inside What Do I Do DD;

  • @chasquipampa You have to pull it apart and put it back in place. I would use some good epoxy if the plastic retaining clips broke.

If you run into issues your welcome to send it to us.

    Have a great weekend,

    -Pete

  • You sound kinda like David Draiman.

  • @DauntlessScourge Never heard that before.

    Enjoy your weekend,

  • My laptop is Toshiba Satellite A205-S5800. It freezes or hang up when the ac adapter/charger is connected....runs smoothly when battery powered. what seems to be the problem?

  • @alen22ash Thats an interesting issue. I would check with a volt meter that your adapter is putting out the rated amount of volts. I have seen plenty that still work but they are not putting out enough or even to much. This will cause the charging module in the laptop to overheat or fail.

Let me know what you find.

    -Pete

  • ok so it turns out its much more easier than i thought. The charger port doesnt need to be soldered and it can be unclipped and replaced .How much would this cost in £ plz thanks

  • Check ebay if your not local.. $20 on ebay and you can have it done in no time. If your local bring it by the shop I will install it really fast for you.

  • I have a question, my laptop quit charging and will only work off the battery, I can SOMETIMES charge it if i wiggle the charger around for 10 mins but recently it has gotten to the point where it wont charge at all. If I replace this would it most likely fix my problem?

  • Sure sounds that way. I would give it a shot.

    -Pete

  • I have a Toshiba A85 that is about 5 years old. It shuts down on its own with no warning. I replaced the fan thinking it was getting overheated but that didnt do it. I wonder if I am experiencing the same kind of problem you are showing here. Last time I had it in the shop it wouldnt do it and they could'nt find the problem. I tried doing a restore and that didnt do it and there are no indication of a virus on it. Any ideas or where do I ship it?

  • good info

  • Thanks!

    All the best,

    -Pete

  • My Toshiba A85 boots up fine and then after running it suddenly just shuts down. I thought it was the fan, replace that, so I dont think it is overheating, hmmmmmm!!!! took off SKYPE and a lot of other programs and that seems to help some but tonight it shut down again after being on an hour or so. Sounds to me like a failing power supply, what da ya think? Im clueless as to what may be happening. Never had any other problems with it before. Did a complete restore but didnt fix it.????

  • i need a toshiba hard drive for my laptop i had a littel accdent with it

  • my thing isn't loose, but it wont charge or even flicker on/off, its not my battery.. just the charger.. any suggestions?

  • Sorry for getting back to you late. IT seems YT messed up this video comments.

It could be the charger.. Just check it with a volt meter to see if its giving power.

    -Pete

  • i just both my new toshiba laptop and its work normaliy but when i update the system and restart the computer i got a black screen with a small flashing (-) in the top-right so anyone can help me please!!??

  • When you boot up make sure you dont have a USB stick in and clear all CD's from the rom.

If it still does it.. When its booting just tap F8 and Choose Load last known good configuration.

If it dont boot still, tap F8 on bootup and go into safe mode and do a thorough scandisk .

Let us know if that helps.

    -Pete

  • thanks pete for trying to helping me but i send it to the store to bring me a new one and i am going o pick it up after 1 and a half hour =]

  • thats how you upgrade the cpu

  • CPU upgrade is easy when you have it apart. Make sure you have the latest BIOS loaded on the system for best results.

    -Pete

  • Thanks so much.. Lots more to come!

    Take care,

    -Pete

  • I don't know if I have the same problem, but it is similar. When I plug the laptop in at night, it charges the battery fine. But then once I've logged in, it starts acting as if I'm pulling the power cord out and putting it back in, over and over again and at best, I get about 15 minutes of life out of it and then it dies as if I was running solely on battery power that just ran out.

Could this be the same issue?

  • Sure sounds like it. Your DC jack is intermittent It is getting ready to go. If your good with the soldering iron just open it up and pull the mother board out. I would touch up the DC power jack and clean the CPU fan while your in there.. They get dirty and it will prolong the life of your laptop.

Let me know if you have any questions. I will do my best to help.

    -Pete

  • DAM IT, I LIVE IN NY

  • Sorry man.. But you can always mail us repairs as well..

    Take care,

    -Pete

  • my laptop has the same problem.

it fell off of a chair and the power jack bent or something

  • yeah its pretty common.. Now you know how to fix it!

If you have a prob let me know.

    Have a great weekend,

    -Pete

  • Thanks for the video, I'm in Mass but I'm an Orlando native and I know right where you're at. I have the same power tip issue right now with a Toshiba Satellite A205-S6808 and nobody's been very helpful locally. It's slightly different and there's a cord that plugs into the jack and connects to the board. The DC jack is loose and seemingly connected to the cord. No charge to the CPU, From your experience would you think it would still be as simple as taking it apart and re soldering it?

  • Im sorry you havent had luck local.. I will try to help and get you on the right track. What I would do is first check the charger with a volt meter. You should see between 16 - 21 volts from the charger. Then I would check on the other side of the power tip inside the laptop.. If you see current that proves the charger and the tip is good. Look to see if the solder is in good shape to the board too. You can send me a pic if you need help.

    -Pete

  • (Over Character Count)
