My brother sent this CD over when I was living in Salzburg Austria in 88. We knew George loved God...so we scratched our heads...is the song God's Hip? Or maybe God's it? Found out it was Gossip! At any rate, great song George!!!
I like this album, I'd consider it my favourite of his solo albums. It was the one that was most devoid of the world music, which I enjoy but never really cared for as much as his regular rock and blues tunes.
@MyAccount4TrollingU the great thing about that is, your a nobody. therefore nobody has any regard for what you have to say! :) make something of yourself and stop being such a negative nancy.
TOP 10 SIGNS HARRISON DOESN'T MATTER :1.Olivia now refers to George as "that guy". 2. Paul McCartney reveals HE wrote "Something". 3. Headstone reads "George Harrison, Waterboy" 4. Biggest fan: A guy in a wheelchair who is broke. 5. Dahni wishes he looked more like John Lennon. 6. Beatles now think Sutcliff was better guitar player. 7. Olvia Harrison now admits she loved Lennon. 8. George Martin admits he wrote "Gently Weeps". 9. George now on cover of Chiffon's "Greatest Hits" 10.George WHO?
I think Paul sought after fame a lot more than George. George was content just being a successful musician. If George wanted more fame it was definitely right there for him. George Harrison was not superficial.

@michaelp3138 I couldn't agree more with 'sweetsweetchimera' above, it's Jeff Lynne through and through like a stick of rock. Despite knowing they were bosom buddies and Jeff Lynne was a prodigious producer with the Wilbury set and others post ELO, I hadn't worked out why I loved this album so much at the end of the desert that was the 80s, even though ELO got me through the 80s! But that's it, it's the perfect juxtaposition of George and Jeff at their best...so crisp and alive, it gets inside u
Yo tengo este cassette de George Harrison, pero ya no lo puedo escuchar porque mi pasacassette ya no funciona. Pero por suerte están todos estos temas en el YouTube. Gracias BrosByte..!
Ten years without George...because He is gone...feel so sad when thinking about him.
Hope he's doing some music with his old brother John,up there in the skies !

I say the music is great (like all Harison) but god... what the hell happened with clothing style in the 80s!
Btw, we can feel Dylan's influence.
sweetsweetchimera 1 year ago
@sweetsweetchimera i don't hear dylan's influence as much as i hear jeff lynne's - he's all over this album
