people...u have been deceived...the part that henry watches and yells actually comes from the execution of thomas moore. not boleyn's. the uploader attached it to anne's executions. watch the tudors. u will see
perhaps you combined the scenes well, yet I wonder why someone would. I mean the execution of Sir Thomas More deserves by far to be regretted, instead of Ann Boleyns (although she didn't deserve it either)
The clip of Henry regretting is actully hi regretting the death of his friend Sir Thomas More. The video here is well pieced together to make it look like he regretted killing Anne, Great video, well done. :)
@QueenieBoleyn He did and he didn't. He truly believed she was foul and committed sins and serious crimes against him. He cared for her, but as a king he was ruthless and would not stand disloyalty in any fashion..., even a rumor of crimes or sins against royalty had to be dealt with, fabricated or not...
Thanks for this video! Although it didn't happen like this in the show (it should have lol) I always feel that Henry must have felt some regret. I mean, he chased her for six years without even having sex. He loved her. Too bad HE was the slut. Should've cut his own head off...
Like most powerful people, Henry probably made a lot of decisions he lived to regret, especially because he couldn't put Anne's head back on once it was cut off. How do Kings or powerful people find redemption for their actions once they realise the enormity of what they have done? I would think that they would have some kind of fearful expectation of what awaits them after death. Don't we all?
Man, people being killed for nothing just makes me sick! Ann didn't do any thing at all and she died! One thing for all women in englad to remember is not to ever mary king henry, ever!!!!!
Ugh, I hate how people turn videos like this into a place to come bash Anne through the comments. Personally, I like the way you mixed these clips up. It would have made a more interesting ending for Season Two.
Quite true, Anne hardly mourned the death of Anne. In fact, of the four wives he outlived, he mourned her the least. He was certainly devastated by the death of Jane Seymour (though he quickly recovered from that), expressed at least nominal regret over Catherine of Aragon, and actually cried (more for himself) over Catherine Howard, though after he found out about her adultery and not after her death.
Everytime I watch anything on Anne's execution I find myself woundering if Henry ever really did stop and think with his heart instead of listening to the people around him.
@Mirren81 A slut would described as a person who slept with many people, Anne Boleyn did not sleep around she was loyal to Henry. Katherine Howard was not so loyal, but in all honesty how could you say that about anyone deserving a awful ending like that.
@rob52xbhs I thought she got killed because she betrayed him with another man. I had history teachers who said she slept with her own brother and got pregnant with his child and tried to pass the unborn baby as Henry's child, but she lost it.
Anyways, if she didn't ever betray him, why did she got executed? Couldn't he simply divorce her as he did to his other wife?
@valericool Those were the rumors that were spread around by people at court. The evidence against her was actually minimal(quiet frankly because they were lies). The people who convicted her of being guilty feared for their own lives, and needed to obey the king if not they would be subjected to torture or execution. The account that your history teacher gave is from the other Boleyn Girl which is historical fiction. The court documents of Anne's trail are online.
@valericool No, he really couldn't have. Henry was in a hurry to be remarried to Jane Seymour. The divorce proceedings with his first wife Katherine of Aragon were extremely long and drawn out. He had to completely reform the church, and the annulment took years. To top it off, many saw his marriage to Anne as false because of the disagreements between the king and the church. He wanted to make sure that this time around his marriage would be considered valid by having Anne executed.
@Mirren81 she wasn't a slut, she was an opportunist at best and if you'd have lived in that time in england you'd probably have been one as well ... only poorer
@Mirren81 No one deserves that kind of ending. Anne Boleyn was loyal to the king and did not betray him. Katherine did, but she was young and beautiful, Henry was old, fat and smelly. She didn't know what it meant to be queen. It's not that hard to understand that she fell in love with a man her own age.
@Mirren81 people seem to forget that Ann wasn't the nicest person in the world. i do feel bad for her because she died, but she through a party when Henerys first wife died. she was known to have a bad temper.
@Mirren81 Well, it was meant to be...after all, if it wasn't for Anne, England would have never had Elizabeth--and England would not have had it's "Golden Age"...and maybe the Spanish Armada would not have been defeated, and for all we know, maybe Spanish would be the language of England today...just saying....
@Mirren81 if Anne is such a slut that she deserves to die then Jane should as well because Jane did nothing to stop the king from doing the wrong thing to Anne in fact she had encouraged it even more . Most likely if Henry hadnt cheated with jane then she would have had baby boy ( as she had that miscarriage) and been henrys favourite. She might have not been as honourable at times ( due to her violent temper) she was never submissive and would have been an ideal 21st century feminist .
Anne Boleyn was innocent, she was true and loyal to henry, but that didnt matter 2 her enemies. Katherine Howard did do wrong but she was ultimetly a victim, since she was set up so nicely by anne's brother's widowed wife.
@Mirren81 The truth cannot be deciphered from the few letters and accounts that have survived since Anne's time. Nor can it be obtained by watching The Tudors or The Other Boleyn Girl. The only way to know what happened is to have been there. Henry had six wives though, I am unsure how you can condemn Anne on so little evidence.
@Mirren81 Anne was innocent, check your history before you make remarks. katherine yes, she wasnt faithful, but she wasnt the brighest bulb in the pack was she? she was 17?! and she learned to use her body freely, its henry's fault for marrying her to be honest. he's the nasty one, who womanized, and basically used them for sons, and when he did have one, he died early, jane died giving him a son. Instead he had two very powerhouse daughters
@Mirren81 Anne was beheaded for not bearing a son and supposedly doing witchcraft to beguile the King into marrying her. Their evidence for witchcraft? Her mole and a bunch of made up evidence just so the king could get rid of her for not having a son. I'm pretty sure there was no charge of infidelity here. The one with the infidelity problem was King Henry. Point the finger at the right person, here.
@crosscountrytc No she said it to get her husband George killed because he it turns out was secretly gay so she was pissed so she testified against him. Anne Boleyn was actually really nice to Jan Boleyn its just that George wasnt exactly a great husband.
@Mirren81 this guy was nothing but a tyrant posing as king. And a hypocrite since there are rumours, historically, that he did the same thing. So why bother gettin married in the first place if you are planning to kill all your future wives?
this i historicly incorrect. The Execution of Anne was correct, but Henry screaming his head of and the blood & cross scene was taken from Thomas More's execution.
@glary70 In the series, Wolsey killed himself, but in reality he was never killed by himself or anyone, and he screamed originally because of Thomas Moore but this is Fan made.
That was his reation when Thomas More was beheaded, not Anne. Watch for first season. Towards the end, King Henry stated how he regrets having Thomas More beheaded. When Anne was beheaded, he was having dinner with Jane Seymore, I believe on the same day as Anne was beheaded.

This was put together very well. I think that Henry really did regret having her killed even if he didn't show it. He seems to be haunted by her the most. Anne Boleyn is my favorite wife of King Henry VIII and did not deserve to die.
was because he sacrifed so much by marrying her nobody would except him to just divorce her, that why they came up with the lies they did but thats my opinion, but most of the historions believe that also, i dont really know if i explain myself right, im dutch and sometimes i cant find the right words to explain myself
@xloisx1 That's your opinion, which you're entitled to, but I feel it to be a gross over simplification that many people assume. She was a victim of a political coup and a faction war. @Floberovpapagaj Yes this not what happened in the show. I edited the clips to show his regret early on instead of later in life.
