@mrbuncakes There's more to metro than just shooting people- There's lots of platforming to do as well as a very interesting world to explore. Behind it all is a story based on a book. But gee, if that's all you see in this, why bother looking it up? Go find a RTS game or something that interests you and comment on that instead of looking like a dumbass wasting his time watching this.

Don't count on it. This generation will last as long as current consoles exist. Technology is largely slowed because of the consoles, only few titles on the PC are breaking trough. Oh, Metro is slightly above current gen - best lightning effects in a game EVER(among other things) Not that I care for the graphics, just sayin' :P

I know that, and trust me I will not play the MP. But since they added MP there is a good chance that the single player will suffer. Metro 2033 had one of the best well written story's of this gen, and its because the devs spent a 100% of their time on the single player.

@Dbane567 I'll try the multiplayer to see if it's good I think it might have a chance but wont be "blockbuster" hopefully the story wont detract because they even have Dmitry Glukhovsky working on the story but I think they're trying to put most of their efforts on Single-player and THQ is supporting Metro Last Light much more than Metro 2033 with letting 4A do what they please with the game. So my hopes is that it wont happen, but who knows.

Now if your talking about Metro 2033 then yes it follows the book well but like vast majority of games leaves some parts from the book.

I dont like this, the quick knife kill reminds me too much of CoD. And the mini gun. Why ?! Its a game where bullets = money yet a minigun wastes soooo much ammo. I hope this game dosent becoem CoDified. I liked metro 2033, I want to play a metro game not CoD with a different coat of paint.

@someguyinwales they said they're trying to keep what made Metro 2033 good but they are changing and experimenting with gun play to fix some "issues" people had with it so don't worry it wont be another COD as for the Mini-gun it's not like you have to use it, it's more of an alternative or fun weapon when you finish your first playthrough.

@someguyinwales The gun play is not gonna effect the atmosphere although gun play is slightly different you can still do the nasalizes and howlers kills or use other techniques you can even manual turn off the lights to not alert enemies the atmosphere is staying with the great story it provided in Metro 2033, the story is getting helped from the author of the books Dmitry Glukhovsky, that's 4A's main goal only change is the AI for improvements and gun play that's it.

I approve of the new knife style, it seems useful now: a quick, silent and up-close method of dispatching foes. The knife in Metro 2033 was a fairly useless weapon IMO for the simple fact that it hardly ever stealth killed and mutants would rape you by the time you actually hit them

Also, lore-wise, don't forget that the metro-dwellers manufacture their own ammo, and the Reich is and extremely powerful faction in Metro 2033, so one would expect them to have some heavy weaponry.

Just because a game uses a "quick knife" doesn't make it like COD, what kind of stupid statement is that? Not every game is like Counter-strike where the knife is a separate weapon category. Metro 2033s knife was a seperate weapon catagory, you fail.
