Actually it is an R35. The G35 is a "V35 Skyline". The only cars that get the R(number) designation are those that have a GT-R version. For the R35, there is only a GT-R version so they dropped the Skyline name because it would be redundant.

The r35 only comes with one transmission its a double clutch auto that can shift in 0.2 seconds, which is a lot faster than any damn human can. The drivetrain in this car also makes it near impossible to have a regular manual tranny.

People lust after the sequential transmissions we run in the race car GT-R. Same kind of concept. Just up and down. Less hassles and issues, and the quick way to get around the track. Fun to me is the quick way. I don't want to look good and be slow.

Its still slower to have to move the stick, than a DSG gearbox can shift. Just watch some in car of an R35 vs nearly anything. You will watch the GT-R creep on the shifts.

for one it is 2000-3000 rpms since idle is at 700-900 rpms but I drive a stick i I shift at 2000 rpms all the time with no problems it is when you get down to like 1200 rpms is when you start boggin down. as for which one is better on gas a manual is depending on how you drive it. It idles lower from manufactuer. and auto usually shifts around 3000-3500 rpm while in a manual you can shift before then. but it is also easier to throw it in Neutral

Acceleration isn't about the transmission. It's about torque. Yes, to get to the ground the torque will pass throught the tranny but it dosen't matter if it's an auto or manual, the torque to the wheels is all that matter. Autos are better for drag racing but as far as I am concerned I don't give a shit about making the best time possible on the track. What matters for me is the joy of riding my machine and shifting gears as I please. If you like autos that's fine as well. Everyone is free.

It is a sports shift (tiptronic) electronic manual.
You can have it as an automatic or select the stick over to the side for a manual mode.
Skylines were built in Japan & Australia, if the engine bay has English printed on all of the stickers, then it is an Aussie built Skyline.

@tyndago who cares about what most 'sports cars' will soon have ... the only TRUE sports cars are made before 2000 ; r32--r33-r34,s13-14,180/200/240sx,300zx,supra,celicagt4, etc . these cars are classics and will never be beaten or improved on.

@bjkbjkbkjb watch my videos. Me driving a 700 whp R33 GT-R, me driving a few 600 hp R32's . I have driven a 1043 whp R33 GT-R. On the track in a 600 whp R32, Buttonwillow, Streets of Willow. Its still slower to have to move the stick, than a DSG gearbox can shift. Just watch some in car of an R35 vs nearly anything. You will watch the GT-R creep on the shifts.

thats the worst part about the GTR. you can't get a standard manual for it anymore. its only dual clutch manual with paddel shifters. and yeah that's badass, but i agree, i love rippin through the gears.

I hope you guys know the GT-R is labeled as a manual car?
It's two manual transmissions with a hydraulic clutch. F1 style. Fastest way to shift in with today's technology. There is no torque converter like with AT transmissions.
No don't get me wrong, MT will always be more fun but the GT-R wasn't made to be fun. Purely track car with laptimes in mind so stop judging the car because it doesn't have a manual transmission.

for one it is 2000-3000 rpms since idle is at 700-900 rpms but I drive a stick i I shift at 2000 rpms all the time with no problems it is when you get down to like 1200 rpms is when you start boggin down. as for which one is better on gas a manual is depending on how you drive it. It idles lower from manufactuer. and auto usually shifts around 3000-3500 rpm while in a manual you can shift before then. but it is also easier to throw it in Neutral

Yes a manual is more fuel efficient than a conventional automatic box but the GTR has a DSG-type (dual-clutch) gearbox which in fact uses less than a manual box. I know the GTR doesn't come in manual but the dual-clucth is more efficient on other cars compared to their manual variant e.g. VW R32

That's all fine, well, and good, but the new generation of transmissions shift much quicker than manuals and now can provide the same kind of driver feedback. Not to mention when you hit traffic, just put it in D and relax. The new dual-clutch trannys will make manuals obsolete

i find autos smoother to drive. Its frustrating when you have to wait for the guy in front to get out of 1st and 2nd gears and yoru in an auto that can reach 30 in 4 seconds and under without over revving!

Acceleration isn't about the transmission. It's about torque. Yes, to get to the ground the torque will pass throught the tranny but it dosen't matter if it's an auto or manual, the torque to the wheels is all that matter. Autos are better for drag racing but as far as I am concerned I don't give a shit about making the best time possible on the track. What matters for me is the joy of riding my machine and shifting gears as I please. If you like autos that's fine as well. Everyone is free.

maybe Nissan assumed your abusing the car by using launch control. Hence why they void the warranty. But why put it there in the first place. If you used it on a track then it shouldnt void warranty. but its all for a reason. Im all for hard driving but literal abuse of a car i.e handbrake j turns 180's drifts burnouts...then your warranty should be binned.

its the stock engine out of the factory and untouched by anybody other than nissan who built it, so as far as it goes, its a standard engine, going by your theory, the vayron is modified to hell and back then no? well, no its the standard production engine in the car, same as the new GTR.
launch control issue is a load of crap, if your not supposed to use it then why did nissan put it there, dell dont void warrenties coz we used our CD drive right, nissan gota grow up about this issue.
