  • How do you mark the effectes so you can save it as a preset???

  • @butterypopcornvideo Strg-Click on the effects, then save as a preset :)

  • @ExplosiveFilms2007 Thanks but i have a problem it wont let me save under the presets:(

  • The problem I'm having is that when I do the color correction, it looks good on my monitor and a regular tv but when I play it back on my high def 1080p tv the color is all off....its always a little to much of one color or both...I'm using edius 2.5..the one that came with my hmc150...hope you can help...thanks..

  • @lvlik9 I have never worked with Edius but it should be the same with every other NLE like Premiere as well. So there can be several reasons for your problem. One could be that your render settings are not optimal for your resolution or format. One other reason could be that your TV is simply set to a color adjustment itself - you should check the options on your TV if you have checked any option that enhances contrast, saturation or something similar, which is common among newer TVs to have.

  • hi, im using this program but i dont know how to save ALL my colors corrections. please help me i have cs5.

  • @3strDestructor You mean that you want to save a preset to use the same color correction for another use? If so, that is actually pretty easy. You just mark the effects that make up your adjustment and then save it as an animation preset under "Animation"->"Save Animation preset..."

  • @ExplosiveFilms2007 you are my greatest. thank you!

  • @3strDestructor haha thanks, I'm just trying to help :)

  • @thevfxbro I most sincerely do! YOU are awesome, my friend! I particularly like the experimental stuff you're doing - you've really inspired me - I'll do one in the near future, as well.

  • LOL, is it just me or does this guy sound like Eddie Izzard a few times LOL!

  • @SoTotallyToby lol I don't think I do, ot's probably just you but I guess the headset I used to have at that time makes me sound like European Three Dog, Arnold Schwarzenegger and him all at the same time :D I actually sound very different.

  • @SoTotallyToby omg yes he does! Lol funny!

  • Good video he kinda sounds like a european three dogg from fallout :p

  • "one of the good things is that I have the English version" hahaha, that really sounds like you bought your copy of CS5....

  • @Alwaysbaggyjeans Yeah, I did. You can just switch it to English by creating a text document in "My Documents" called "ae_force_english". If you're wondering how I could afford it, it's the student version which is only about 300€ (about 400$).

  • @ExplosiveFilms2007 thats how i bought mine

  • Can anyone tell me how to cut/clip in after effects?

  • @iiDantox You mean actual cutting of video in terms of cutting clips together? I don't do this very often but a trick is to trim In point or Out point of selected layers to current time with Alt+[ (left bracket) or Alt+] (right bracket). That's how you cut a layer. You can just put the next clip as a layer behind it with the In point at the other layer's Out point.

  • @ExplosiveFilms2007 Thanks =), i will try, im just used to other editing programs who is alot easier.

  • @iiDantox Yeah, After Effects is basically just for Visual Effects and Motion Graphics, it is not intended for basic editing work like cutting or sound editing. It works perfectly with Premiere Pro for that aspect of the editing workflow progress. Which editing program do you use for normal cutting?

  • @ExplosiveFilms2007 I used to use cheap editing programs, like videopad video editer, but, shall i use adobe premiere pro to clip and render and after i take the clip into after effects to edit?

  • @iiDantox I would consider that if I were you. In my opinion, Premiere Pro is the best editing program out there but if you don't have the money go with Premiere Elements. It's basically the light version of Premiere and it's great! I started with that too. It's definitely better than any free editing programs that are mostly worthless..

  • @ExplosiveFilms2007 Thanks, i just need a program that i can do basic editing with good quality (:. Because i got a hd recorder. Thank u so much for the help i got premiere pro now and it is really good and simple (:

  • @iiDantox Yes agreed, it's my favorite editing suite. Adobe all the way :)

  • @ExplosiveFilms2007 Me 2 Mate ;P, btw great toturial =)

  • @iiDantox Thanks man, I appreciate it :)
