The problem with most ladies is that they feel that they cannot survive without wearing makeup on their faces. What they may not be aware of is the fact that makeup does contribute in a large way to clogging the pores which can aggravate or cause acne. Should it be necessary that you should wear make up, it should be water based.
@happywinnielove I will be posting on blackheads on my skinMe series if you haven't seen all the episodes. Salicylic acid and retinol are best for blackheads
@TwinkleX0 have you visit the doctor. You should look into liquid nitrogen treatment, anti-viral medicine, or topical retinoid to help. S. acid will help exfoliate but won't treat it. Drugstore is 2% only can get for S. acid and try glycolic acid to help remove the surface like s. booth brand at the drugstore.
I have acne on the sides of my face that I just can't get rid of! Benzoyl Peroxide dries out my skin too much and salicylic acid does nothing for me! :( I don't know what to do. I've had this problem for too long.
Hi ! Love your videos! Can you give a name of a product can I use when I have blemish with salycilic Acid because I am allergic of Benzoyl Peroxide. I have 4 or 5 pimples on my skin it's less but I have it everyday and I never have clear skin. It's not several acne but I want clear my skin like you. Than you!
@littlefox01 it's Mac Crazee that I purchased from the CCO so not sure if it's still amiable. it's a red/orange frost lipstick but I'm sure there are tons of dupes since orange is big this spring =)
Hi Lisa! I love your videos! I noticed on the comments that you went to pharmacy school? Are you a pharmacist? Can you give me any tips? I am in my fourth year and I want to go to pharmacy school =] Also, I've been using benzoyl peroxide 2.5% and it burned my skin. Any tips? Thanks!!
@oxnerds I attended pharmacy almost all the way but decided business and makeup artist in my 5th year of pharm school. What tips are you looking for as in pharm school? What type of BP are you using and your skin type?
@BeautySplurge I'm glad you decided to do what you really wanted. I was wondering what makeup and attire is appropriate when I go to interviews for pharmacy school. Maybe you can do a tutorial?? Also, the benzoyl was from acne.org and was 2.5%. I ended up going to a dermatologist and they prescribed me medicine for my burn. Thank You for always responding!
@oxnerds make should be simple and natural. You can visit my old video on everyday natural with neutral eyes. Attire... I would stick with a mid length skirt or cute dress pants and a button up top. You will do great on your interview and remember to ask questions.
Can you please tell me how to treat white comedones, I get those tiny, almost invisible grain like pimple, I have dry skin and if I just use a cleanser for acne prone skin, my skin gets extremely dry, I don't suffer from red pimples or blackheads...any advice?
Hey girlie :) I was jut wondering how you learnt all of this info? Was it from when you worked at the pharmacy or did you do all this research yourself?
I Love your videos! You are simply gorgeous girl!! :) Your tutorials are really easy to follow too! Just a quick question, I love your glasses..do you mind sharing who its by and the model? Thanks love! :)
@thaowendy FRIENDS LIKE YOU TOLD ME TO AND THANK YOU FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT :) I REALLY WANT TO MAKE A CHANNEL TO BE USEFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE EVEN THOUGHT I DON'T HAVE A COSMETOLOGY BACKGROUND BUT A GEEK AT HEART :)
@emmybear221 I use palmer's fade cream skin success from the drugstore and it works faboulous on me. It comes in many mediums to fit everyones skin type. I have a video on how to get rid of hyperpigmentation that may help.
I think it would be helpful to add a disclaimer on your video that due to the fact that benzoyl peroxide does actually generate free radicals, there has been some concern that use of this product could lead to the development of skin cancer. I stopped using benzoyl peroxide after I came across numerous websites that stated this as one of the long term side effects. Just an FYI.
@chiquechic20 Thank you sweetie for the information. I will look into it from primary resources before adding this disclaimer. Also, I usually wear sunscreen to lessen the sun exposure. I don't always wear sunscreen if out for a short time since the sun’s energy makes vitamin D3, which is carried to your liver and then your kidneys to transform it to active vitamin D. Again, not encouraging to stay in the sun... can take vitamin supplements.
@chiquechic20 Part 2 since I couldn't fit this in my first entry...
I learned this through my studies in pharmacy school. I feel that any matter consume/use in large amounts or improperly will cause reactions and/or risk such as cancer. "The dose makes the poison" -Paracelsus.
well, this video is about benzoyl peroxide compared to salicylic acid, not an in-depth analysis of both. it's always up to the consumer to do their own research before they buy any product. =P
most makeup has toxins in it that affect both the body and the skin, but you can't exactly do research on every ingredient of every makeup product you ever use/talk about so you can put disclaimers in all your videos. it's up to the consumer to do that for themselves with all products. :)
Such a helpful and informative video. I love your look here! Glasses look really good on you. By the way, what are you wearing on your lips? Love the color.
@happycoook12 I had on Vegas Volt amplified by MAC lipstick.... bright red orange :) I'm glad I can help. I learned it in pharmacy class and it makes sense and what to do with blemishes... sometimes you need benzoyl for the inflammation and salicylic to remove dead skin from our lesions. It helps my skin out :)
@annisagirl11 I've been up since 2am and studying. I needed a break so took a hot shower... started to think about acne products. I was lost before I took over the counter medication as one my of classes and it was helpful to know what to use when the pimple fairy comes to visit. Thank you :D
I have a special solution that I would love to put in your face :)
