Chrono Trigger Ending: What the Prophet Seeks

Magus and Chrono Trigger just made anime get real in a game.

Even till today i cant think of any game that is more compelling than Chrono Trigger. leaving just asside how awesome the game looked and how much fun the gameplay truly was.

Magus was the best character. He could balance the "all good guys characters" with his name callings and bad humor. Besides, Black Hole and Dark Matter really made the diference.

So if Lavos is killed in the future in order to trigger this ending, we know for a fact Magus is pre-destined to lose against Lavos in the past...

Which is lame because Magus can solo Lavos easily at higher levels.

My guess would be that Lavos was destroyed in 1999 AD. Magus is in a time many years before that, so Lavos is still around.

Sorry for the late response but I just saw the video and the comments.You get this ending by beating Lavos (through the bucket at the End of Time) after you beat Azala and the Black Tyranno but before seeing the sealed door in Zeal Palace being opened by Schala.I guess you already looked it up during this three months but there you go :)

He has got it wrong!!! To get this ending, beat Lavos AFTER what Cloverman90 says! (I mean AFTER seeing the sealed door in Zeal Palace being opened by Schala and fighting the golem!)

if you realy must know what happened they had a family of half cats, half humans. eventualy the cat became a drunk and schala had to commited suicide. their kids made a living traveling with a freakshow untill they died a sad sad death.

Janus is Magus, you find out what happened to Schala if you play Chrono Cross, and you can see the cat running with the villagers around after you defeat Dalton for good.

Actually in this ending I think she is safe. But in the canon storyline she is not truly safe because she merged with Lavos to form the Time Devourer and is saved when Time Devourer is defeated by Serge and she becomes whole with Kid again in Chrono Cross.

What happened with this ending kinda bugs me. Are those shots of Chrono and everyone before Magus fights Lavos? If they were, it could as if their adventure never took place and what we saw of them were "as if".
