Beautiful. These are the American stories I love 2 hear. It is loathesome & unforgivable 2 kidnap people, force them 2 shed their customs & language, even their names, deny them their family unity, abuse them in ways I will not recount here, & so much more ... & yet, look how incredible America is because of the bloodlines which can be traced back to such atrocities! How should we describe or explain this? It's fascinating, horrifying, but as it stands, I am so grateful for our American colors!

Go Dr. Jim. You know you're alright with your badddd self. Washington DC is so proud of you, as are Howard University and the Shaw Community. You have always valued black history, black art, and your family back in South Carolina, as well as the Ladner family from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I remember when you worked with Dr. Joyce Ladner, the president of Howard University. You made many contributions in preserving the the African American family's traditions. We are so proud of you.
