  • Not much beating this....

  • Surrealism - hit

  • now you die the 12 dislikes

  • 12 people did not get the prize.

  • Its interesting to think that this is Queen, its the closest thing to Metal that they ever did, even though Freddie and John hated this song. But this was Brian at his finest though, and he was always the one who brought out the heavy and loud side of Queen, maybe not a popular song but still one worth listening to.

  • great!

  • Brian May shredzzzzzzzzz on the guitar!!!

  • I Know his Man...and NAME

  • Heavy risk but the PRIIIZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • and you karin gimme the prize just for me and always

  • aaaaaahh Brian's guitar solo is GORGEOUS!

    Simply, A Kind of Magic..

  • this song is one of their greatest!!!!!!!!!!!really sad that it doesn't belong to their famous :(

  • I KNOW HIS NAME!

  • Queen's songs are god like

  • Best Soundtrack to any Movie Ever, and I'm being 100% dead serious. No other music has ever added so much any movie. Highlander would not be Highlander if it weren't for this music. Not to take away from the film itself; which is great, but just to show that a great film is a collaboration of many elements

  • Anybody notice at 2:42 Brian May creating a bag pipe orchestra with his guitar overdubs. Guitar genius at work!

  • BRIAN IS THE BEST FEDDIE IS THE LEGEND!

  • how freddie could have hated this track is beyond me, its fantastic. Definitely my favourite from Highlander.

  • I love the scottish bagpipe solo played by Brian on the guitar.

And not only Freddie, but John also hated it.

  • What a voice.... Incredible.

  • BRAYAN MAY AT HIS FINEST ! ! ! :-O :D \m/-_-\m/

  • Great Movie ,Great song :)

  • The best singer who ever stepped foot on this planet... R.I.P. Freddie.

  • @2wingo, Freddie (god rest his soul) never had any singing training, opera or otherwise!!

  • Freddie would have made a good metal singer

  • @mastersam23 He was a metal singer. He just didn't get stuck in one style. Bloody genius, he was.

  • @mastersam23 Bohemian Rhapsody was one of the first songs labled Metal before any bands in the 80s made it what it is today. Freddie Mercury could hit any note. Absolute master when it came to vocal work.

  • Jesus Christ I need to cover this.

  • first saw highlander when i was like 9 or something. that puts you up for a great future! how i love the highlander! thumbs up for watching violent movies at a young age!

  • one of my favourite guitar solos by brian at 2:40

  • Before he got into Rock, Freddie Mercury was trained to sing Opera.

  • @2wingo no he wasn't trained to sing in opera where did you learn that and Roger said when he first met Freddie he said Freddie had a good voice but didn't have the technique.

  • All the "greatest villains" of all time lists miss this guy. And its a tragedy. He's freakin awesome.

  • Not a lot of credit is given to Clancy Brown who played Kruger, amazing actor, played a good part in The Shawshank Redemption.

  • @MrDoppolina: it's "kurgan"

  • @MrDoppolina:it's "Kurgan"

  • it would be a good song if they didnt have the voices from the movie in it. if they didnt have those i would love the song

  • Great editing, kudos Mr. Fuller!

    Kurgan Forever!

  • I love Kurgans voice...

  • fuller you're a great!!!! congratulations

  • The theme song for the Canucks in the playoffs this year. Go Canucks Go! Give me your Kings! Let me squeeze them in my hands!

  • I really like the video

    and the song:)

  • quite a hard song for queen still loving it tho THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!

  • 3:08 "Mom" :D

Loved the movie! but only the first one.

  • Jesus, in 1986 I used to listen to this song so often the tape wore out! I was 15, I'd watched Highlander about 12 times in two weeks, and I used to mime the swordfighting sound FX as the song played full blast in my room... happy days.

  • just amazing what can one say

  • I'm pretty sure that Freddy Mercury probably didn't like this because he didn't feel like himself. He was never one for rage and takeover in his lyrics normally. Man did he ever bring pure emotion to all of his songs. Every song, you can feel pure emotion no matter what it was. Although I can sense a reason why Freddy didn't like making this song. But only he himself can answer that question once and for all........when we all go to the other side :/

    Que Sera Sera

  • why bad ratings to queenfan15??? that's true

  • Quite possibly, the best song Queen never released as a single

  • yeah ! ke figata è bellissima

  • pure raw epic vocals, and not a hint of falsetto...... O.o

  • l' introduzione mi dà i brividi!!!!!! che pezzo!!!!

  • bellissimo!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It frustrated me too when I learned that Freddy hated this song! :-( It was fn awesome. This would be the theme song to my life if I could make it! lol.

  • @rossothecrimson7 yeah, he said it had selfdestructive theme and a bad vibe, so u understand :)

  • Good job

  • damn i used to listen this song sick back in the day

  • alucinante...

  • Oh yeah amazing!!

  • Mcleod forever!!!!

  • Best song on the album next to 'Princes of the Universe', and one of Brian's best solos. I used to play this tape in my dad's car so many times it wore out. Best film of the 80's, too.

  • love this movie n this song

  • La voce di Mercury è la migliore qualsiasi cosa canti. Voce assoluta. Incredibile.

  • pure metal

  • Yeah, too bad Freddie hated it. It was one of his best.

  • hated what?

  • He hated this song. I think it's because he thought it was too metal. Funny, cause this is on my top ten favorite Queen songs. And it fits the Kurgan like a glove.

  • freddie ?

  • @vigo894 Yeah, Gimme the Prize goes down as one of my all time favourite songs. It's absolutely amazing. Highlander is classic, too. My favourite movie of all time.

  • @vigo894 Really? When did he state that? That's interesting!

  • @vigo894 How did you find this out?

  • @metaldude630 Apparently, Freddie and John Deacon both disliked "Gimme The Prize". Personally, I think its one of the best tracks from the album. It stands testiment to Queen's versatility as a rock band. They can not only produce rock music, but their attempt at heavy metal was also outstanding, you can tell just by listening to this awesome track.

  • @Highlander01 cool man just never knew! he used to live up the road from me which i still find strange! i love this track it's one of my best queen tracks.

  • @metaldude630 Who lived up the road from you? Freddie or John. Either way, I'm extremely jealous!

  • @Highlander01 Freddie. he lived in a place called feltham for a good while they got a lil memorial for him there. it's like a star on the floor like in hollywood @ the high street. it's no where near what he desserves though. he needs an 80 ft bronze statue

  • @metaldude630 There is a life-sized bronze statue of him in Montreaux, Switzerland where the band have/had a studio. It looks out over Lake Geneva (Lac Leman)

  • @vigo894

I know there CAN BE ONLY the 1

  • Move over! I said move over!

  • clear the way there's no escape from my authority

  • Full power... Freddie is umbelievable here. He sings everything in chest voice, no falsetto (maybe the last "I'm the god..." - tell me?)

Only high notes with full power... Almost shouted. Impressive impressive impressive! He is at is max (it's obvious).

  • THE POWER VOICE OF FREDDIE MERCURY

  • I'd kill for Queen to do a soundtrack for a movie I would make....

  • Is better burn out than fade away!!!!

  • THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

  • I KNOW HIS NAME.

  • Great song by Queen returning to their 70's stuff, a sign of things to come on the Innuendo album, heavy heavy stuff.

  • i am the one, the only one...i'm the god of kingdom come...gimme the prize! just gimme the prize! i really love this song, especially from 0:57 to 1:07

  • It's actually sad, this movie was made in like 1981, then all the companies thought it was a cult movie. So nobody watched it, then in 1993 somebody actually watched it and bingo people liked it. Kinda of a weird movie presentation

  • it was made in 1986 and well in 1991 they produced a movie that was not only one of the worst sequels of time but one of the movies ever made in general

  • @napalmslayer It was actually made in 1985.

  • It's amazing what they've done for a film(truly original one),guess is the best movie soundtrack ever made.I mean,about queen,I'm definitely sure.

  • Queen i ich muzyka to paliwo które każdego dnia napędza mnie i daje enegrię która pozwala mi cieszyć się życiem.Ich muzyka jest nieśmiertelna!

  • Highlander and Queen were the best mix of movie with music ever! Everything Queen does is a Goddamn masterpiece.

  • You're f***ing right, man.

  • i now his name geat vid and best movie

  • Cool, I like the way lined up the dialog of the film - the actual footage of the Kurgun giving his 'I have only one thing to say, it's better to burn out, than to fade away!' speach, with the lyrics of the song. Very nicely done!

  • A magical song!!!

  • Questa canzone è spettacolare...mi da una carica pazzesca! Freddie l'utlimo immortale!!!

  • eh che note che tocca FREDDIE MERCURY,

    eheh note leggermente alte :)

    ma leggermente eh :)

  • Favolosa davvero!!!!

  • Ke voce.....ke espressivita' .....quale grossa perdita per il mondo della musica!

    R.I.P. Freddie

  • As much as i love princes of the universe, this is just brutal, and i love how they refrence princes of the universe. Hell they kind of sound the same.

  • Gimme the prize

    Just gimme the prize

    Gimme the prize!!!

  • "Give me your kings, let me squeeze them in my hand. your puny princes, your so-called leaders of your land. I'll eat them whole before I'm done, the battle's fought and the game is won, I am the one, the only one, I am the god of kingdom come, gimme the prize!"

  • BEH grazie a FREDDIE,

    sottolineamolo...

  • I love the fact that Brians solo from 2:40 makes his guitar sound like a band of bagpipes(if thats the term for it Awsome! Check out Seaside Revdezvous.. that "red special also turns into a Jazz band! A Kind Of Magic I Suppose!

  • I heard that John and Freddie both disliked this track. (According to what Brian said in an interview)
