I just "discovered" Gerry last month - Dec 10. on You tube. Of course I know his songs well as I heard them a lot on the radio when I was a kid. I even remember Stealers Wheel. But i didn't know the artist. I read about him on Wikipedia and knew he'd become ill lately and so his passing now is not a suprise.
