this is something you should take into consideration abortion is the taking of a human life and this is the proof: The foetus can feel pain and has intelligence
One more thing: The preemie that would supposedly be blind/deaf/profoundly retarded has a genius IQ, routinely runs 2 years or more ahead of curriculum for children (he's home-schooled because the one problem he DID have was a weakened immune system because his physical growth was so far behind his age--35% behind the average full-term child). He's definitely a miracle, not the norm...but we're all so thankful that she went to the lengths she did to at least TRY to bring him into the world.
Moral: Doctors don't know everything. Science isn't perfect. And sometimes, you just have to go with what you believe in whatever religious view you have. That successful birth led to the model they used nine years later, when she unexpectedly became pregnant again--cervix stitched shut at 10 wks, bed-rest starting at 12 wks when the body tried expelling THIS baby...and this time they made it to 32 weeks, giving birth to a perfectly healthy little girl. Thank God.
12 years later, that preemie has defied ALL the odds. He's able to see (with glasses, yes, but he SEES), he can hear in the upper 95%, he can eat (esophageal erosion and stricture were real dangers because of his need to be intubated most of his first year of life), and when he reached his 4th birthday, doctors finally decided to try removing all mechanical breathing means--by that time, a tracheotomy through which he was mechanically ventilated in sleep--and he breathes perfectly fine.
...at which point, her health began seriously deteriorating and the cervix was threatening to tear open. Doctors decided to snip the stitches; she gave birth less than 2 hours later. Her son was not expected to survive even the first 24 hours; IF he lived, he'd be "blind, deaf, profoundly retarded, never even able to breathe on his own" and it "might have been better to let nature take its course". Their tiny son spent nearly the entire first year of his life in NICU.
Interesting vid, RFJ. A personal perspective: My cousin, after 3 miscarriages, was discovered to have an "incompetent cervix" (translation: It didn't close the uterus during pregnancy). On the 4th try, they sutured her cervix shut at 10 wks. (around the point where she'd previously miscarried) and put her on bed rest. She went into pre-term labor REPEATEDLY from 12 wks. (the farthest she'd ever made it in pregancy) onward until 25 wks...
The pic of the embryo you have is very compelling that, it is indeed, insignificant & abortion is no big deal. The photos of the deformed children, equally if not more compelling. Realisitically, aborted babies are far more human and healthy than you would have us believe for the embryo grows. 50% of all abortions are done after the 6wks. A fetus can live outside the womb as early as 19wks.only 2% of all abortions are b/c of rape/incest, and even less for malformations of baby/ health of mother.
"Live outside the womb" is a misleading statement. No 19 week old fetus can "Survive" outside the womb. 24 weeks is the limit set by medical science, and that grants only a 50/50 chance of survival with all the medical miricles available today. And the 50 percent that do survive face serious complications, from mental damage due to brain bleeds to permanent blindness, and most require cardiovascular survery to simply make it out of the Nic unit. Your comments are not medically accurate.
abortion isint about riligion, its about alack of sex education!! int his day and age how does abortion even excist?? i mean, its either use all methods to stop the pregancy, dont have sex or deal with the circumstanse, but i supose the world today aint that simple.
This is sooooo wrong. I am a christian and what you are portraying that abortion is justifies is absolute rot. You catholics dont worship God the creator you worship the pope who is a man just like you and me
I am glad you are looking in to Traducianism. The modificaiton that the "spirit" comes through "creation" at "conception" is simply a technical way to comply with the already established teaching the human soul comes from God. "Creationism" originally meant "at birth" because the "breath of life" occurs then and that is the meaning of both words "soul" and "spirit", both in the Hebrew and the Greek. This is also (and always has been) the Jewish law, even during the time of Christ.
Ever hear of Padre Pio? God revealed an abortion done a girl had and she and her mother only knew, but it was revealed to Pio. When this girl had a confession Padre Pio mentioned that abortion. Obviously the woman was shocked. Padre Pio said "did you ever consider that he could have grown up to be a priest?" He even knew the baby was a boy. This shows that God is against abortion. Even the Roman Empire did abortion. They would rip the child out of the womb and kill him.
I have been around many spiritual people and have seen things like this on a near daily basis at times. You do not understand spiritual gifts if you think that proves something contary to the Scripture. God's will is different for everyone, & many people getting abortions should not be getting them, and some have babies that should have never had them. Ec.6:4 Both are true.
Also concerning the Roman empire... the Roman empire, and the Greeks frowned on abortion, though it occured. The reason Pre-christian Rome was against abortion was primarily economic. Fewer babies meant less labor. An unwanted child benefitted the empire, even as a slave, whereas abortions only benefitted the mother.
In reference to Augustinian legislation of 28 BC and 9 AD: Therefore, they forbade the women to abort and attached a penalty to those who disobeyed; secondly they forbade them to use contraceptives on themselves and to prevent pregnancy; finally they established honors for both men and women who had many children and made childlessness punishable.
This policy, mentioned by Musonius before Christianity ever existed, is the same exact policy in the Roman church, that you have today. It does not come from the Apostles or the Bible. Because you do not find it there. You find it in Rome.
It's obvious Exo 21:23 is talking about the babies life. Back then it used to be an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. So it was also a life for a life, not a life for pain.
You can't say that life begins after birth because you would also have to say that Jesus was not alive until after He was born. God himself is life and since Jesus is God in 2nd Person it would be wrong and blasphemous to say otherwise. You can't use the Bible to back up abortion when it comes from the Author of Life.
It's obvious Exo 21:23 is talking about the babies life - No actually it is obviously the opposite, and people who studied this text, and based an entire socieity on it, understood it quite well, as they still do to this day. Halakah law does not define "a living soul" until the head emerges from the birth canal, or mother's stomache via C-section. That's it. That's what it says. And... Traducianism is a "Heresy". (which is what you are advocating)
You did not answer when I said in order to justify your statements, you would also have to say that Jesus was not alive until after he was born, which you cannot do since He is God the Creator of Life, nor have you answered how can a fetus kick, move and open it's mouth if it is not alive.
We don't live by old Jewish Tradition anymore. Although we keep some parts of the Old Testament we don't live by it anymore.
Let me explain, back in old Jewish Tradition they believed that when a person dies the soul remains in the body for 4 days. However, Jesus showed that that was not true when He raised Lazurus on the 4th day he died.
So how can you be so sure that the body only gets a soul until after it is born? Remember, Jesus did things that would oppose tradition such as allow eating with unwashed hands or showing mercy to the aldulterous woman when she was to be stoned to death.
Let me explain, back in old Jewish tradition, you don't know what you are talking about. Modern post-mortum recusitations have occured up to three days later, after that point the cells deteriorate beyond repair. Those ideas were based on observations, like most of the world. The interpetation of those observations varied with culture. The observation of 3-4 days was consistent with the ressurection of Christ. The belief was drawn from passages in the Torah & Tanak which echoed the pattern.
Secondly, this discussion has absolutely nothing to do with the heresy you are now advocating called "Traducianism". Do you know what a "heresy" is? Do you know why it is called a "heresy"? It is anti-BIblical. The Apostles and prophets did not teach it. The voice of God defined a "living soul" as an act of "creation" which occurs at birth. Sorry this doesn't support your agenda. That's simply the truth "Nephesh" means "breathe of life", "Spirit" means "breath", animate means "to breathe"
You cannot get around what has been known for 2500 years. Halakah law is not based on "old Jewish tradition" it is based on "Torah" given in person from God to Moshe, face to face, which the New Testament continues without refutation or contradition... because it too was written by Jews.
Joh 4:22 ye worship what ye have not known; we worship what we have known, because salvation is of the Jews;
Using the Bible to justify abortion is heresy. Be careful whom you accuse of heresy. How can you say it begins at birth when it clearly says in Jeremiah. 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you." That was what he was prohpesyzing.
John the Baptist recognized Jesus while both were still in the womb (Luke 1:35-36, 39-44)! How can you still say the body body gets a soul after birth when scripture states otherwise?
R: Using the Bible to justify anything not God's will is heresy. But God's will is personal. For Abraham it was to sacrifice his son. It was his to sacrifice. Condemn Abraham and you condemn Christ, and you stand therein condemned not forgiven.
R: Relax, America is still a free country. You haven't taken over yet. (remember?) "Traducianism" is a heresy. Playing a word game with origin of spirit at the moment of conception is just a cheap trick to get out on a "technicality". The Bible does not teach a fetus is a living soul. Anybody honest about it, knows it.
It says the babe leaped (because of Mary's joy) then it says Mary was "filled with the spirit" while it explicitly does not attribute "the filling of the spirit" to either child, John or Jesus while in the womb. The fetus's were not "filled with the Spirit" because that requires the "Breathe of life" (Nephesh) a living soul, which in utero pregnancies are not until birth. No soul, no murder. The charge is a lie. Jmes 2:26 - the body without the spirit is dead. (That's also the Torah law )
PS. If you think God will "bless" a political movement based on lying in his name, you would be mistaken. John Chrysostom was wrong.
Pro 12:22 Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
I think your movement needs to come clean and start addressing it's concerns to God in prayer, rather than telling lies about the Bible from pulpits & Talkshows. God might not agree, but at least if you talk to him you'll find out why. If he does, it will change.
Right now, your movement is under God's judgement. If you continue doing what is causing it, it will beome yours to own personally. I'm trying to help you out here.
Radio, you don't understand. God wills people to be born for a reason. Moses was born to free the jews from Egypt. Joseph was born to lead the jews to the land promised to them. Mary was born to give birth to the Son of God. Jesus was born to free us from sin. Peter was born to be the 1st pope. I was born for a reason. You were born for a reason and this is not the reason you are here. It was God's choice for us to be born. That is why abortion is so bad, because it goes against God.
And Hitler was born to? Abortion is neither good nor bad, it is a medical procedure. It is not murder. A good person will do God's will whether abortions are legal or illegal, as will an ungodly person never do God's will, whether abortions are legal or illegal. The arguments you use to "stop abortion" are worse than the abortions. And that is the problem. God does not give the state the right to make these decisions, not in the positive or in the negative. Parental rights were absolute.
God did not give the state the right to take the life of an unborn child but the state did it anyway.
The arguments you use to defend abortion are worse than abortion because you are using the Author of Lifes Word to justify it.
Hitler was also a huge supporter of abortion and helped Margaret Sanger found Planned Parenthood, which used abortion and other contraceptives to force abortion and sterilization on anyone non-Aryan.
How are you so sure it is to the mother? Are you just using the Bible to justify what YOU think? Are you sure you're not the one who has been lied to?
What you are saying is incorrect. Was not John the Baptist Sanctied in his mother's womb when Mary visited Elizabeth? Did not Elizabeth say to Mary "Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the Fruit of thy Womb?" If life begins after birth, how come the fetus can kick, open it's mouth, and feel pain?
James was refering having faith with good works. The body get's it's spirit at the moment of conception. There is no 27th verse in Gen 2. It only goes to 25.
"so God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him, male and female He created them" Gen 1:27. You really want to destroy something created in the image of God?
Jeremiah only cursed himself because he was suffering persecution and was tired of it. He had doubt like every human being. He was not saying prohesy at these verses. Moses himself doubted but God saw different in him.
psalm 139:14 is not irrelevant. Did the stars sing that psalm?
And what "harm" do you think it is speaking about? The "fruit of the womb" is already "departed", and there is a "fine for it"? That refers to the only thing that a "life ofr a life" refers to, that being the mother with her stomache injury.
The claim that the "body" get's it's "spirit" at conception is called TRADUCIANISM. It's a heresy. It is NOT what the Bible teaches. What James 2:26 is "talking about" does not "excuse" or "nullify" what he said. He uses the "illustration" that the BODY WITHOUT THE "SPIRIT" IS DEAD, to make his POINT. The reason being is that this is the concept held by Biblical Jews. Look the word "Spirit" up. Look at it's very definition. You are in DENIAL.
This is the "one-sided" HALF-TRUTHS you have been filled with, and until you start studying this subject on your own, you will NEVER hear the truth about it. And far from being the "guardian of the unborn", which God never commanded you to be, because he never gave parental rights to anybody but parents even to the point of capital punishment and religious sacrifice, you are actually TRESSPASSING which is a "sin" and "judging" becoming a "murderer" in your own heart .
"You shall not kill" (not murder, kill) Exodus 20:13
This text actually disproves your own claims:
Exo 21:22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
The Bible never calls "untimely birth" even when caused by an assault, a "murder". Not once. In fact, quite the opposite.
But, I know you will never change your mind, and it really doesn't matter what the Bible says about it, because you do not have a "Biblical faith" to begin with, so unless your "relgious guru" tells you to think it, you probably won't.
And that is the real trajedy in this prolitical propaganda, You are being told a lie. Not just any lie mind you, a heretical lie, that has been condemned throughout history as "ungodly" and "anti-christian". And you are so dependent on the disinformation of others that not only can you not even "think" for yourself anymore, you cannot see how you are being taken down a path to justify murder and sedition against your own country. Those who have ears to hear already did.
Maybe you should check out my video. "Considering abortion? Consider this..." It exposes the lies pro-choice have used. We don't believe in science? Science and common sense proves that they are human. Pro-choice can not possibly use these to back their statements. I believe in Liberty and Justice for all which is why I can't support abortion. What are the chances of a baby being deformed? Abortion is unnatural. The woman's body was designed to give birth, not to be a sexual object.
Only if an apple seed is really an apple, or a chicken egg is not an egg, but a "chicken life". This is a "semantics" game you are playing with language and it is dishonest at best. It is certianly unbiblical from the start. Your position is a known heresy called "Traducianism". Jewish law to this day based on Torah is that the "Nepesh" does not occur until BIRTH. Christians are told to be "born-again" for this very reason, it is throughout the Old Testament, and continues into the New
If you accept the Scriptures you cannot, repeat, cannot called unborn pregnancies "Human Life" until after they are born, unless you wish to all the prophets and Apostles liars and idiots.
this is something you should take into consideration abortion is the taking of a human life and this is the proof: The foetus can feel pain and has intelligence

Radio I have been doing a little research on Trudancianism. You seem to have it mixed up.
Trudancianism is a belief that the fetus gets the soul biologically from the parents.
That is not true. I do not advocate that nor does the Catholic Church.
What we advocate is Creationism, which the soul comes directly from God Himself at conception, not from the parents.
Therefore Trudancianism is opposed to Creationism and since I do not support Trudancianism, I am not advocating heresy.

The body without the Spirit is DEAD - James 2:26.

"The Bible never calls 'untimely birth' even when caused by an assault, a 'murder'. Not once. In fact, quite the opposite."
That is only because the baby is not dead. Read the verse after that one.
"But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life" Exo 21:23.
Guardianoftheunborn 2 years ago

AND...BTW, your "teachers" know they are essentially "lying" to you (for a "good cause" of course). It always is, isn't it.

How does the Bible support abortion? Did you truly read it?
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you" Jeremiah 1:5
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:14
"You shall not kill" (not murder, kill) Exodus 20:13
How then does the Bible support abortion? Maybe you should read it again. It's impossible to use the Bible to justify abortion.

Q:How does the Bible support abortion? Did you truly read it? A: Yes, I did, and in it's original languages. Did you?
Q: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you" Jeremiah 1:5
A: Right, and of course, they left you completely ignorant of Jeremiah's other comment:

Jer 20:14 Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed.
Jer 20:15 Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee;..
Jer 20:16 And let that man be as the cities which the LORD overthrew, and repented not: ...
Jer 20:17 Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave,
Jeremiah is cursing the man that did not ABORT HIM.

This is the "one-sided" HALF-TRUTHS you have been filled with, and until you start studying this subject on your own, you will NEVER hear the truth about it. And far from being the "guardian of the unborn", which God never commanded you to be, because he never gave parental rights to anybody but parents even to the point of capital punishment and religious sacrifice, you are actually TRESSPASSING which is a "sin" and "judging" becoming a "murderer" in your own heart .

praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:14
This text is irrelvent, and says nothing about the definition of life, Stars are "wonderfully made" too. They are not "living souls".

What you are "guarding" is a lie called "Traducianism", and the only thing you will ever "save" until you repent, is the life-span of the deception.
