Umm.......from what I know of manga and anime.....if its a guy......the shoulder line should be wider than the hip line.....at least every manga guy i've ever seen unless he was really young, had an exagerated hour glass figure........but I dunno your drawing looks more female than male....... anyways keep practicing!

not to be mean but i think it's a little off,

i'm not to great at drawing guys but i do know that the elbow is thicker than the other parts of the arm (you made it look pinched)

also guys have more defined legs than women and the heel kinda sticks out more than that

Hmmm...

Let me begin.....

First off, your proportioning is completely off. You should maybe study anatomy of the human body a bit more. TRUST ME, it helps out a TON. People will say that it is part of their "drawing style", but there is no excuse for not proportioning the body correctly.

Second, You should make the circle that represent the joints MUCH bigger. I PROMISE it will help.

If I get the chance, I may make a video of how to draw the body myself.

Well, I have to slightly disagree, for the sake of anyone else's thoughts.

I believe that there is no excuse for proportioning the body incorrectly from the start, but...

I've seen some good art that uses correct body structure, and yet the proportioning is off slightly or noticably because that is the style of the artist.

Example: CLAMP is known for having tall, slim characters in their art that are slightly off normal proportioning, but it adds to their style of art as beneficial. ^^

I prefer properly proportioned bodies, but you cant say there is no excuse for not doing it. Drawing things out of proportion CAN be their style. Anything can be your style, blocky, curvy, swirly, unproportioned (is that a word?). Things would be boring if everything was done in a certain way.

@Fug118TheGreat just because it doesn't have to be realistically proportional does not mean there is an excuse for not sticking to the basic anatomy rules for manga and anime.......which if this is supposed to be the drawing of a male manga character that is older than twelve....well its not very proportional......and the manga eyes are only huge on young/innocent girls, and young boys......other than that it doesn't really matter......depends on the character....

after you get more confident, you can leave out alot of the marks, and only use the necessary ones, but its best to start out with the method in the video.
