A good job for a small dept. Sure, there are some issues, but many of the criticism are nothing more than from the book. Exposures? Collapse zone? Chief in the building? If you've never seen a chief in the building you've not been to enough fires. The IC stays outside, but can order another chief inside. Good job NAFD.
Bunch of tool bags. Why the hell is there a Chief doing any interior work. If he is inside the house he is not doing his job. Stay on the front lawn where you belong. The first line should of been protecting the exposures.
just a few things. 1- when opening a window, clean out the ENTIRE window. remember "leave the job a little better for the next guy". 2- should have had the door completely open for the interior crew ( use yoru door chalk, rope, haligan, ect) 3 could have been alot faster on the interior attack, good job by first going to the window and knocking some down, makes the inside fight alot easier. all in all ok job. all of us have room for improvement this is just my perspective.
For a small Long Island Department with limited resources, they did a bang up job. The only thing I would have done that they didn't, take the screen door off the front entry, other than that, nice job all around.
also wear your gloves when your breaking windows then dont turn around and throw the haligan into the leave pile in the front yard, then when the second group of FF are masking up to go in watch the bigger guy in the black take his mask back off hand it to the guy in the tan gear then the guy in black walks right in the house.
good video however there r a few issues first they are not masked up on the initial exterior attack with moderate smoke conditions present, when they do mask up they drop everything and do so in the collapse zone, when they enter the house get that death trap screen door either out of the way or pry it open (it going to catch your hose, and restricts quick egress), when you are told by the interior crew to stop breaking windows dont wait for them to look away and break the next one,
@Sconnors0385 Let's see, You don't know how to spell, use punctuation, the difference between "there" and "their", or get your point across without using foul language, but you know all about firefighting and tactics. Amazing.

why do things turn black when they get burnt? Is it just the chemical reaction or what?
