How are differing crop circle patterns contradictory?
Realise that the bible we see today is the result of a group of people sifting though a collection of books and choosing those that were deemed to be 'authoritative'? (It's interesting to note that this selection happened about 360 years after Jesus was alleged to have been put to death).
And yet even in the collection of books that was chosen (the NT), the books contradict each other on simple matters of supposed fact (like what actually happened at Jesus' tomb).
The fact that we have many living eye witnesses who attest to having been in contact with aliens already means that the evidence we have for aliens visiting earth is many times stronger than the evidence we have for J's resurrection (or any of his miracles).

You assume I'm Christian? I argue with Christian views aswell! I'm just trying to make sense of it all, but clearly I need to do more research.
The resurrection is not the only part of the Bible: there are surely plenty of documents as a whole for Christianity? And would you count religious experiences as evidence? because that would likely outweigh the claims of 'alien-contact' experiences?

I apologize for assuming you were a Christian. However, I would say that while I am not sure exactly what you mean by "there are surely plenty of documents as a whole for Christianity?" if you men in regards to the life of Jesus and the resurrection in particular, then I would have to say, NO not really. I would not count religious experiences as evidence, because people of ALL religions would claim it.

How are differing crop circle patterns contradictory?
Realise that the bible we see today is the result of a group of people sifting though a collection of books and choosing those that were deemed to be 'authoritative'? (It's interesting to note that this selection happened about 360 years after Jesus was alleged to have been put to death).

And yet even in the collection of books that was chosen (the NT), the books contradict each other on simple matters of supposed fact (like what actually happened at Jesus' tomb).
The fact that we have many living eye witnesses who attest to having been in contact with aliens already means that the evidence we have for aliens visiting earth is many times stronger than the evidence we have for J's resurrection (or any of his miracles).

Jesus was only around 'physically' for less than 40 years.
Whereas there's no time limit for people to claim UFO sightings.
Plus there was a much smaller population around at the time :)

so therefore you're going to get more sightings with the thing that's 'around' the longest.
So that was a possible explanation as to why there is more supposed 'evidence' for aliens than for Jesus resurrected.
and smaller population: less people to see Jesus...
it doesn't say anything for reliability, just a reason why there's more ev.

Jesus, if he existed, only had a few decades to inspire eyewitness reports, that's certainly true. But that doesn't change the fact that there is *more evidence* for the existence of aliens, and hence belief in aliens is *more well supported* than belief in Jesus' miracels.

While there is some truth to what you are saying in regards to the time period of UFOs verses the resurrection, UFO sighting are a relatively new phenomenon. Also, just the fact that by your own lights people are more then willing to invent and fabricate tales of the fantastic in regards to UFOs should really tell you something about claims of the resurrection.

Cos things like crop circles are normally completely different on each occasion. There are artists that go around making crop circles, and those ones will look way more impressive than one that some teenagers have decided to do as a prank or whatever.
that's what i meant..if only i had better command of the english language that might sound better...

Sure. But the fact that crop circles patterns are often different doesn't (in itself) make it less likely that they're caused by alien spacecraft (of course we agree that they actually aren't).

I would personally not attempt to argue crop circles as being any sort of real evidence of UFOs. I do not believe in them, but I would say that the most creditable evidence for them is the eyewitness accounts of pilots and various other notable people.
