  • 86 team went to Comm Bank 1/4 finals before being beaten 34-16 by a Tony Hearn, Scott Rofe, Andrew McCarron & Brett Horsnell led Keebra Park.Glenn Searle and one other made 86 Brisbane side.Searle, initially picked as a reserve for Brisbane side and after a series of injuries took his chances and made Qld Schoolboys 1986 side.He was unlucky not to have beaten Mark Soden (Nth Sydney) for a national spot.Brett Rae (Valleys),Sean Neylan (Norths)and Glenn Searle (Norths)all ended up playing A Grade.
