@Spacecoastz The Blue Ridge Parkway is a run I would like to do at some point. I did the Skyline back in 2008. That was some fun riding except for the hail from a thunderstorm!
@todkapuz The temperatures in the park were all over the map! I could feel the air temp changing all over the place. Usually cooler at the higher elevations, but not always. Weird that.

luckily the Appalachians are ~10 or so degrees cooler on average... just hang in there.. :)
