I have to say that these cars look most peculiar but they also look like tremendous fun!

The later ones have a similar front to Escort MKll's of the same era. I love that variomatic system - it's just so different!

I have never owned a variomatic car but would love a Volvo 340 variomatic. I already have three Volvos. A 740 saloon, a 940 estate and an S90. As a member of the Volvo Owner's Club - a 340 wild fit the bill.

Some of these DAF cars should be shown at our VOC shows!!

@tubedougz yes the 340 drives very well you would probably be more at home with the 360 as it shares the same lump as the 7's and 9's

i made it to one show years ago at Newark and loved it.

Apart from the cars it's actually worth watching this to listen to Simple minds track.

these dafs were 66 coupe's where you could probaly squeeze 100mph the 55 would be possibly the same.

a daf 33 on the motorway lol but nice to see them out

the 33 was a bit smaller with a air cooled 750cc engines, these are 66's and have 1300cc renalt water cooled engine's
