That's what I would do when making a speech at school. I'd write the entire speech on my cards and wouldn't bother to memorise anything and I'd just dart my eyes across the room quickly so the teacher wouldn't say I was looking at my cards all the time.

Totally! Right before this, he reads his speech looking down at his cards the whole time, never looking up. Joey even asks him if there are naked chicks on the piece of paper. And they tell him to make eye contact, and this is what he does. You gotta love Ross!!!!!! lol
