  • You have an attractive sound and demeanor but your pronunciation is the best on all the Swedish Lauguage Materials I own. In other words, you are a great teacher. Very very good. The bending of a vowel, the way you do it, is really what is neccesary to get the real sound down. This is what you do that is so good. Thankyou.

  • Thumbs up if you like to see the face behind that sexy voice!

  • 1:16 for when the counting starts.

  • For some reason when I try to make the Swedish accent it comes out as French >:

  • 'sex'

    HUH???????????????

  • Just wondering, I have heard native swedes pronounce 9 and ten like nia tia.

is that just because of their location in Sweden or can you say it nio or nia???

  • sex (6) was the best lol XD

  • Tip for the ones that have problem with saying sju..

If you form your mouth like u do when u whistle lik shhh u know?

and then make that sound and then say u like the girl in the video.. like shhiuu.

Its hard to explain but if it helped thumbs up D:

  • @JokerFlickan That's awesome! I have wondered how the heck to explain this myself but thank you so much! :D

  • @GoSwedish No problemo :D

  • thank you, i bet the others said pretty much of what i thought... i just need to say, that i'd record a sample of your voice so i can listen to it before i go to bed every night hehe

well thank you, besides of all the sweetness of your voice, this was very helpful to get me started with the language

    Hej då!!

  • How the hell do you say 7!!!???

  • six oh thats weird

  • Damn that number 7 is difficult, i always forget! And me too, I have to admit, beaaaautiful voice!!!

  • Can somebody write out 4/fyra phonetically? I -kind of- hear "foorah" but sometimes "fi-oorah"? D; Also wtfholymotherof - number 7 is not fun. I like sounds like myself (sjalv) but sju is tricky (like, whchulve, perhaps).

  • That sju is sunuvabitch to learn. That sj is hard.

  • number 7 is so difficult for me to say

  • DAMN... please your voice is making me so... crazily in love lol...

"6" in swedish with your voice!!!!

  • Jag kan räkna till tio på svenska nu ! :D Tack så mycket för denna video <3 Kram :*

    kisses from Croatia <3

  • Do you have any advice for the number 7 (Sju)? I can't get my mouth to make that sound. D:

  • please make a video with your face in it! you sound so amazingly beautiful!

  • @SliSavage07 Yeah, I should do that some day. You're so kind, thank you :)

  • You're a good teacher. You go at a nice pace, and have a soothing voice, which sounds Swedish, but not so much so that I can't understand what you're saying.

Great work, with these videos as supplements to my lessons, I have a feeling Swedish will be my third language in no time. After English and German.

  • hehe, she said sex... awright

  • Dam!!.....your voice is far too hot for a teacher..

If I had a girlfriend I wish she had your voice..

For Gods sake,.........I can't concentrate at all!!

    I'm sorry for that,..just see it as a 'H U G E' compliment.

I know many girls who look sweet, but talking like crows and laughing like gooses.

Btw. Did nobody ever treat you to use your voice to record some (erotic) commercials or something??

Maybe there's some nice money to catch,....for you it's only 'Just talk'..

    Greetings from Holland. Jay

  • @43447 Jay, your comment is so sweet that I don't even know what to reply. Really, this is so kind. Wow. I mean, the fact that you actually like my little voice. I never liked my voice very much (but appreciate having one, of course - at all times) so when I hear this I really smile. I find it so sweet. Thank You so much, dear. I'd love to work with television, etc, where I can do voice overs - I'd love that; but not those types you suggest, haha. But yes, I do take it as compliment.

  • Thank you so much for a written pronunciation of the number 7... I've always struggled with it, and there isn't anybody around where I live who teaches (or even speaks) Swedish that I know of!

Now maybe I can stop sounding ridiculous.

    Tack!

  • tria?

    like in greek

  • 1:16 if you want to get to the point :)

  • You have such a nice peaceful and kind sweet voice.. ohh it's so relaxing listening..If all teachers would have a voice like yours..learning would be a lot more effective in schools :) god bless you..

  • @EuropeanGuy87 Oh sweet you *blushes* you are so sweet to say that. Wow, oh my. I can't believe you feel that way. I really can't believe that anyone can feel that way about my little voice. Maybe I should create a video for those who have trouble sleeping so they can listen to it before they close their eyes *giggles*

  • @GoSwedish Yes that is exactly how it feels when we listen to your voice. ! and if you look thru the comments there are other people thinking the same about your perfect voice. I think you should make videos of you telling fairy tales, so adults and children can listen, and eventually fall ashleep- it's really nice..

  • I can´t say seven in swedish and I´m from Sweden :S

  • i'm the 50,000th!!!! what's that in swedish?)

  • @MarcusIonicas 50,000= femtio tusen

  • Just a reminder to all trying to learn. When the word "Jag" is spoken in a sentence, the "G" disappears. So you say only "Ja". You only pronounce it with the "G" if you want spell out to someone etc

Btw GoSwedish is a really nice channel for foreigners willing tol learn swedish.

  • Det gør det nok lidt lettere at lære når man er dansk :)

  • your voice is so soothing and mysterious i like it :)

  • jag kan rakna till tio pa svanska nu

  • hmmm, I dont know if this is my dialect playing a major role

im half dane half swede, but my "sju, sjukhus" the "sj" is the same as "sch" as in shoe,, and i'm from the upper parts of the country, have i been pronouncing this word wrong during my entire lifetime?

göteborg, malmö, stockholm och runt de där områdena uttalar sj som ch? jag uttlar sju som ljudet i sjö

  • Can I get your number? I think I want to marry you.

  • Can I get your number?

  • oooh I like 6!

  • @TheGuilanvi (:

  • @TheGuilanvi (girl) how much (me ) sex (girl) what (me) i want sex of your jucie clams (girl) SLAP,fuck you (me) all i wanted is sex lolololol

  • about the 7,.... eh.... ???????

  • @rolf778 Eh... Yeah.... Tricky! :) I feel so bad for all of you who struggle with number 7, it really must be so tricky. Here's suggestion from two other people on the channel: Put the tip of your tounge to the front roof of your mouth and bend it backwards, then simply let the air out. Say the 'sh' farther back in your mouth - it helps if you focus really hard. It may be omething like "huewe" or maybe even "schuh"? - I am as clueless as you guys when trying to explain the sound :) Good Luck!

  • @rolf778 I keep trying to say 7 myself over and over to figure out what english word it sounds like and I keep thinking "shoe" or "You" but they don't have the hard sound that 7 has. But if you'd say 7 and make it sound long, like Sjuuuuuu.... it will be just like yoooooooooooou or shoooooooeee.... haha... Oh dear, it looks so sick, but really... Everyone should create video responses of how they pronounce 7 :D

  • This is brainwashing o.o - Detta är hjärntvättning o.o

  • omg you have the cutest voice ever ^-^

  • 7 is Sju ... pronounced QWU?

  • Jag kan räkna till tio på svenska nu! :)

  • ahh this sju is really making me sound like a retard...hey also dont make me fall in love with ur sweet voice srsly :p

  • finally got sju :D

  • HAHA, detta är rätt kul...

  • Gå Svenska!

  • i'd do anything to see the face that has the sweetest "sweedest" voice ever!

  • @evertuber You're so kind! But my face is seen in my "Introduction" video :) your comment is so cute, really. Merry Christmas, dear! :)

  • @GoSwedish im afraid i cant find the introduction video, and i still want to see this face that has such alluring voice, i have subscribed to your channel as im interested in visiting sweden since im in a neighboring country, and i want to know few words and sentences in swedish.. anyway i'd be so thankful if you give me the link

  • What a sweet voice! Shannel?

  • @wannacboi no her name's not shannel she said channel. as in her you tube channel XD

  • @xXxEmOScEnEBiTcHxXx That's quite funny. What a nice name though, Shannel. :D

  • @AJoanP This is an awfully late reply. Sorry. But there is no "E" in the word "Räkna=Count" and you shouldn't pronounce "Ä" as the Swedish letter "E" because that is not correct. "Jag = I" is pronounced with the "G" at the end, if you want to talk proper Swedish. The "G" in "Jag" is not meant to be silent. I am sorry, but if people follow your comment they will not speak Swedish. I know you meant well, really - but that is not correct. Good luck to you. And thanks for following! :)

  • @GoSwedish Hey. I lived for a few years in southern Sweden, I worked, met people etc.. I know what I am talking about. I still have family in Lund. I can speak swedish. Don't you belive me?

  • @AJoanP I know what I teach is correct and proper. If you want to pronounce "Räkna" with an E, then please go ahead - but that's not Swedish. Many many people will not pronounced the G at the end of JAG but that is called "Lazy swedish" no matter how hard that is to hear for people, even Swede's. The G is not really meant to be silent. Period. "Nio/tio" is pronounced with the O at the end. That is the proper Swedish, but many do not pronounce it that way in Sweden. End of discussion :)

  • @AJoanP

Your sort of right about pronouncing ä as e but it's not very common. That's mostly how you would speak if you talk with an older Stockholm dialect, it's often refered to as the Stockholm e. There's not that many people speaking like that nowadays and you may seem a little old fashioned if you do but it's definitely Swedish.

  • @AJoanP Also, if you don't want to learn proper Swedish from me, then go and learn somewhere else on YouTube, where you can learn it the incorrect way.

  • There are some mistakes in this video.

  • @AJoanP Okay, and where are they?

  • @GoSwedish Jag is "ya" not "yag" is it?

  • @kazin29 When you pronounce "Jag" you must pronounce th G at the end. It's not meant to be a silent G. I really want you all to understand that I wouldn't upload a video to the world where I am not teaching you the proper and correct Swedish. Why would I want to create videos and lie to you? So, please, know that you can trust my video lessons. I am very bothered with how so many Swede's tend to use "Slobby" Swedish - because our language is beautiful and we shouldn't ruin it. :)

  • @kazin29 Me again! I just need to say that it was wrong of me to say that people MUST pronounce the G at the end. Of course you must not do so, it is completely up to you. But if you do want to teach proper Swedish then yes, you should indeed pronounce the G at the end of "Jag" and if you do so, you will speak Swedish and that's how you'd speak if you'd you go to a job interview, etc, you need to speak proper Swedish - and not slobby. Okay, now I have preached enough, haha.

  • There are some mistakes in this video.

  • I love how some of our words sound similar :) like the numbers Sex and Sechs, which are pronounced exactly the same, and so on :) from germany.

  • @Dumbleebe Yeah it's very similar.. I'm def gonna take german soon! I can already understand a lot words just by guessing, that's how similar it is!

  • This is wonderful and I'm really interested in it. Actually I learned from this.....even I do write all what it says....;-)....................

  • @MrChamikamfk Thank You for your comment and for your amazing support. I will put up the other number videos soon. I am glad you are so interested in learning Swedish, that makes learning a whole lot easier. I wish you the best of luck with this and Thank You for going Swedish with me :)

  • hahaha. cute!!! hahahhaa

  • Great video ! thank you so much !!

  • @eva231O I Thank You for your time and support. It means a lot to me.

  • Almost Dutch, easy for me.

  • @lesleyhenriquez Sorry for the late reply. I just want to say that I find Dutch very easy to memorize and learn. So, that's cool that you find Swedish easy :)

  • @smackdye, you mean Robyn, the singer? Oh! That's interesting! I really appreciate your support very much. Thank You for writing me. It means a lot. I wish you the best of luck with your Swedish! You can do it! :)

  • @GoSwedish

yes The Singer I was raised on music like Megadeth and the like but Robyn has completly changed my views on pop music lol..hopely i will move to Sweden once i get your lanuage down hahah

  • I have your iPod/iPhone app, it has helped me a lot :)

But really, how do you pronounce 'sju'? I can't do it :(

  • @MrCheeseILike I dont have to do this with the tongue, only the lips to pronounce 'sju', but it might help, I dont know. Try pressing your tongue to your "upper teeth", but leave space for air "between" the teeth. Then form your lips to a circle and try :P

  • This is similar to German.

  • I've been wanting to learn Swedish for the longest time. Thanks for the vid up-loads. With that voice, I'm pretty sure you will have many repeat viewers. :)

  • Are the little "ah" sounds on the end your emphasis, or are they part of the word?

  • jag kan räkna till tio på svenska nu!

    thank you very much!

  • jag kan räkna till 10000 nu för jag e fan bäst XD
