Woooow....Ibuki was a even bigger beast in this one than 3S! AFM was very good with her; it's a same he didn't keep her up on 3S and went on to Chun Li, one of the most spammed played characters in 3S. Sean was played by a lot of people on this game. none of the players playing him did that well in this video so I'm wonderin' what made him so good in this game that everyone wants to play him like he was Chun Li? Also why did Akuma get banned in this game?

I am by no means well informed on this game, but from what i've heard, Sean was so popular because you could link his super with just about every one of his normal attacks. There might be more reasons, idk. And as far as Akuma goes... i have no idea why.

- Yeah, Ibuki was a beast in this game. So was Sean.

- As someone said before, Sean has easy hit-confirms to use with SA3. Not to mention some of them give you LOTS OF TIME to use his SA (ex: HK >> SA3. Really, you don't need much of a reaction time to land SA3 after HK if your HK hits, as you're given LOTS OF TIME)

- I don't know if Akuma was banned in this tournament. If he was, that'd be a stupid ban - he's good, but not as good as Sean or Ibuki.

Oh yeah, and about the Sean players sucking in this tournament: yeah, they really did suck. Not only did I see some of them not landing their supers after HK / HP confirms, but they didn't even abuse his ultra-safe HK tornado kick, nor did any of them actually use his tackle for "oh shit, what's he gonna do?" tactics (note: I didn't watch the whole video, but the fights I saw contained none of these..)

The only good person was AFM. The rest? Well, they'd get rape back in '98 :)

@Narmo23 What about Gouki's un-punishable dive kick? It's really fast and hard to counter/avoid. I don't know if it gives him frame advantage on block though, but from what I've seen of a few vids and playing 2I, the dive kick is one of his most useful tools @_@

@Narmo23 Akuma broke the game apart, anyone who played 2I in it's days knows that Akuma's Dive kick/Parry OS beats everything. Back in Japan they used to put "Gouki is not Allowed" on the cabinets.

I've played this game about half as much as 3s. It owns SO MUCH, finding friends to play it with is even better.

I can't imagine anyone complaining about this version of it. Yeah, it's different and if you can't handle "certain characters not being top tier" and SEAN actually good in it, just leave the SF community, we don't need you.

That said, I love the combos in this game and the tier list. It's more balanced compared to 3S imho, just look at Hugo and Ibuki. They own so much combo-wise.

eh. Even if Sean will be whored, it is a whole world better than seeing it be done on chun and yun. Besides, aside from his terrible voice actor in 2nd impact, Sean is awesome. I never expected a gamer vision thing for 2nd impact and that is very cool.

Sprites are the same size across the board. They a a slight bit bigger on the PS2 version of 3S but they are the same size in arcade.

The sprites in SF3:2nd Impact seem a little bigger than the sprites in SF3:3rd Strike, height wise but also a little wider. How can you say the size is the same across the board.  Just flick back and forth between this 2I vid and a 3S vid. That's what I see.

There is some difference between the the characters in the two games so if its not size then what?

Not all videos are recorded to present the same size image so that could be the problem also they COULD be recording off the PS2 version which would make the sprites look bigger as i said. I have both SI and 3S on my PC here and the Sprites are the same size.

The only problem with her in 3S is how high priority her normals are in respect to the other chars.

Lower Chuns priority and nerf Yun's Genie Jin and you have an exponentially better game on your hands.
