Oswald (Pete Kirby) was a wonderful man to sit and talk to. He could spin yarns for hours on end....I don't think he ever met a stranger. The first time I ever met him, he spent 4 hours talking my ear off and I was in aspiring dobro player hog heaven.
Spent about an hour at his house when i was 18 and we were on vacation in TN- he was about 84 then- Such a legendary figure in Country Music, and he was as down to Earth as any one of your neighbors- I was so thrilled to meet him I could barely say anything! Got to see his Dobro too- What a great man he was!
Is that Pap on the bass?

I think that is supposed to look like/be a filterin hat.
As in, take it off, turn it upside down and filter your moonshine through it.
