  • very good plz subscribe me and can u go a little slower or something so we can catch up?

  • Sir, your videos are too much informative. I am learning violin from a teacher.Your videos are not only for the first time learner.Because, it makes us aware of common mistakes of playing this instrument.

I think I wouldn't be able to improve my playing without this set of videos.

When I was too young, I used to say, if I could see Yanni.

Now I want to say, If I could see Yanni and ProfessorV both.

Sir, you are doing a great job.Thank you very much.I admire you.

(I'm not at home in English)

  • I need a help professor.....Can you demonstrate the difference between quarter note, half note, full note, quarter rest, half rest? I really dont understand in "Hot cross buns" how they are implementing all of the above.

  • this is my first time watching your videos and i really like it =) and i also have a question.......i`m learning to play violin (just a beginner) and i wanna play mary had a little lamb but i cant find the notes....do you know a website or something where i get it??

  • Hello Professor!I'm very thankful for finding your collection of lessons here on youtube.I can't afford "real life" lessons at this moment of my life,so your videos are perfect to give me enough motivation to pick up my grandfather's violin, restore it, and learn to play it.I won't have a real person by me telling me that if I'm doing it wrong, so I'll have to be my own teacher too, it'll take a lot time but at least I'll know the "how to" theory. Thanks a bunch for this.Greetings from Portugal.

  • Thank you for this new set of videos. They are very helpful.

I have a violin but I don't know how much to tighten the bow. Do you have any tips for this?

  • Hi jigkids, a rule of thumb is to tighten about the width of a pencil (in the middle of the bow). Some bows require a little more tension, but avoid too much, as the stick should retain its curve. I hope that makes sense!

  • I've only been learning to play for about 3 weeks now, and Im enjoying violin more than i ever thought i would...Your lessons are by far the best ive seen on youtube... they approach, for me at least, the most basic elements, that other tutorials seem to lack.

  • thanks!!

  • your explaination was great.... my daughter's teacher just made a comment about her pinky, not supposed to push against the bow. your viedo shows how the pinky should be relaxed... Thank you for sharing

  • Hi ckc357, I'm happy this reinforced your daughter's lesson. Best of luck to both of you!

  • thank you, ProfessorV!

  • Amazing video! Thx professorV!

  • Thank you for all your videos, I have learned and am learning a great deal from them. My son even said I was playing better :)

  • Hi THEPOKYGIRL, that is great! Keep up the good work and thank you for the comment.
