@flarez I wish we were friends. Atheism has it's belief in science and it's faith in Richard Dawkins. If you knew how DNA works you would see a biological machine. Why do you feel the need to worship a deity which most likely doesn't exist? Why invest so much time,money and love in something where you won't get your time,money and love back? Do you realise that the time you spend in church (if you go every Sunday) is worth around 1/14th of your life? That's 1/14th of your life wasted!
Instead of spending that time worshipping a non-existant deity, ENJOY YOUR LIFE! You can still be a wonderful person without religion! Just something to think about..

Could I do that without believing in God? Perhaps, but there would be much less enjoyment in my life. I was an atheist. I am much happier now.
@griffithomi I'll put it this way: others can't live their life the way they should as long as churches insert themselves where they don't belong. everyone has the right to be free from religion's grasp and that's the main reason I'm even saying this. forcing people to believe in deities through social pressure is completely wrong. then we could argue the validity of such belief systems, but that would be an endless debate.

@jacobede I really appreciate the offer, but I am unfortunately busy helping the local ministry here in Springfield. We are working on changing our model to reach college students. I do go on mission trips, but I have the next year and a half full with trips to western Africa and a trip to the middle east. "Belief" in god, is just that, belief, not observed, proven, accepted by all, fact.

Why do you feel the need to worship a deity which most likely doesn't exist? Why invest so much time,money and love in something where you won't get your time,money and love back? Do you realise that the time you spend in church (if you go every Sunday) is worth around 1/14th of your life? That's 1/14th of your life wasted!
Instead of spending that time worshipping a non-existant deity, ENJOY YOUR LIFE! You can still be a wonderful person without religion! Just something to think about..

I just would rather spend my time actually DOING good and being a good and kind person and helping others, rather than pray to the skies to do that for me. I love my life, I love my church, my charity work, my real work, I have fun on the weekends, and I love to do mission trips for the fun of them, for the enjoyment I get of helping others, glorifying God, and visiting other countries. Could I do that without believing in God? Perhaps, but there would be much less enjoyment in my life. I was an atheist. I am much happier now.

@griffithomi I'll put it this way: others can't live their life the way they should as long as churches insert themselves where they don't belong. everyone has the right to be free from religion's grasp and that's the main reason I'm even saying this. forcing people to believe in deities through social pressure is completely wrong. then we could argue the validity of such belief systems, but that would be an endless debate.

@jacobede I really appreciate the offer, but I am unfortunately busy helping the local ministry here in Springfield. We are working on changing our model to reach college students. I do go on mission trips, but I have the next year and a half full with trips to western Africa and a trip to the middle east. But, if I mix 2 parts of hydrogen to 1 part oxygen, I "know", I will create water. Belief is an acceptance of the maybe, "knowledge", is an observed, proven, tested, definitive projection of what happens, at any given juncture with the correct parts or relationship. "Belief" in god, is just that, belief, not observed, proven, accepted by all, fact.
