  • Wow you speak japanese so well!! It's true!(because actually I'm Japanese) You're welcome is "どういたしまして" in Hiragana, and "どう致しまして" in Kanji. And also, Itadakimasu is "いただきます" and "頂きます".

  • japanese lessons from a gaijin who isn't even sure of the language

"i'm not sure and I can't actually be bored to look it up"

  • Wow...I can't believe I now just saw the japanese speaking version of Lily Allen.....you have the same great smile...the same bright eyes and even your voice sounds alike....( I LUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRV Lily btw...) Oh...and no: you don't have to fear me, because I want Lily to be my faghag....LOL. I bow my head to your japanese!!!

  • @gyqz I lol'd. I also love Lily Allen. In fact, for a friends party (celebrity themed) I was told to go as her since I couldn't think of anyone else I looked like. It worked out pretty well.

  • こにゃにゃちは~ おやちゅみなさい~

  • こんいしわ おやすみなせいLong word

  • It's actually "こんにちは".

  • Hey, buddy.

Good try and I like your Japanese and I respect your attitude towards those negative comments.

Keep working on the language and come to Japan!

I do get nervous about my English pronounciation. but it is way better to speak up than being silent and being perfect on pronounciation, eh?

Give me some advice on my English if you have time. I will post more.

  • Sorry, I was reading some of the comments from far back, and I just had to say I find it hilarious when fellow Americans say "OHNOE MAN, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS VURY COMPLEX JAPANESE CULTURE. SO TYPICALLY AMERICAN."

xD Honestly, they make me laugh. A few more newly learned words, thanks :D Oh, and two comments below me... I find it hard to believe that comment wasn't posted to offend.

  • あいしてる

  • Omg your hot. XD

  • no offense but my bff's from japan actually know and can speak the language better then u and they r fluent in it

  • Well no shit. If they're from Japan, of course they're fluent. It's kind of rude and obnoxious to leave this on someone's page without fully recognizing that this was made nearly a year ago, therefore meaning my skills have since improved.

  • You forgot the most important phrase "Datte ba-yo"

If you perfect it, then you are half way there. ^_^

  • Hi,Kate I'm a Japanese guy studying English for fun. I don't know if you understand the rude comments written in Japanese below. It's not written by a Japanese for sure. I can tell that easily. Could be someone learning Japanese and being hostile toward you with rivalry. Just don't worry about it.

    You are doing fine!

  • your really good :) better then me lol and your right they do sound cute :D

  • pretymisty14 is still right about the prononciation

its do- itashimashite...but wtv haha keep it up

  • It's not about correcting my pronunciation that I got mad about. It's pretty much saying I don't know anything about Japanese when hers is extremely flawed.

  • okay then

  • kawaii.....is cute

    kowai= SCARY CREEPY! lol

  • she look like 魔人

  • Oh haha. So clever, to put it into Japanese. That was really lame. Seriously.

  • What's with the rude comments!!!

  • I know! Ugh. People nowadays. No manners, I tell ya!

  • You have a good accent, but you don't seem sure of what you're saying.

  • I just get nervous and get tongue-tied, is all.

  • Haha. I find it funny that you think I'm annoying and actually take the time to let me know. If you're annoyed, don't bother watching. Plzkthnx, loser.

  • You don't know how much of a cliche you are. You're just another fat, white social reject trying too hard to be a cute little Japanese girl. Stop it. You're clogging the tubes.

  • ... and you don't know how cliche your statement just was. Really. Let's try to be a little more original, shall we?

  • I get what you mean too many wapanese ppl these days..

  • !!そんな言葉は可愛くないよ。日本は可愛くて、文化は好きだったら、そんな悪い言葉は使わないで」あなたはよくそんなことと言うから、あまり好きじゃない・それは日本の文化じゃないよ

  • I was reading your responses to people's comments, and AMEN to YOU!

People who are actually interested in the language and culture make ONE mistake, and people are like "oh you're just a wee-a-boo."

It's very annoying. It's like, with Japanese, you can't make a mistake without someone getting mad about it... UGH!

Anyway, your japanese sounds really good though. :)

  • Hahaha. Thank you! ^_^

  • ah, people are just touchy because it's their culture and they get mad when we screw with it. It's understandable, I'd be the same way, but yeah, I do say amen to you too! :]

  • Oh, oh, and thanks for saying do itashi mashite. I was having trouble saying it, but now I am successful.

  • You're quite welcome. Thank you for checking out my page and whatnot. It means a lot to me.

  • Dou itashimashite*

Also dun trust her pronunciations, they r not perfect. They r still very american and shows she doesn't really understand Japanese

  • And you're an expert? Uh-huh. You who say you know "1000 kana". There aren't even that many. Try about 46 for each hiragana and katakana. If my math is correct, that's way under 1000. So stop trying to correct me, Miss Sakura-chan (ugh...), and get on with your life.

Oh, about some of your videos... deSU? Japanese basics 101 - don't overly pronounce the "su". It's wrong.

If you're not a native speaker, don't you dare try and say I'm wrong.

  • arigatou gozaimasu for the video XD ^^

  • I get this all the time and I'm sick of it. I know that I should know the correct spelling but everyone corrects me. Don't think you're the first.

And I'm not different soley by myself. I'm different from some because I'm not doing it to be cute and because I think Japan is "kawaii". I'm doing it because I want to make it my career. I'm taking two courses right now on the language, so don't talk to me about "earning respect".

  • かわいい(kawaii)=cute

    こわい(kowai)=scary

    and it's どういたしまして。

    there is a "u."

so is this year's theme degrading japanese culture?

  • I know the difference by now. Forgive me for not remembering the second I was on camera. And so my spelling is off. Whoop-dee-freakin'-doo. I don't appreciate you lumping everyone who decides to get interested in the Japanese culture together. Most are anime dorks who want to learn the language but will never stick with it. I plan on actually becoming somewhat fluent and living there. So don't you dare categorize me with the rest of them.

  • posting the correct spelling is an insult? if ur going to try to TEACH something, u should know your subject. or do multiple takes so u get it right if someone's relying on wat you say.

ur not lumping them together? you're so special that u can't be categorized with those as interested as u? taking the time to actually watch your videos because they want to learn? japanese is a beautiful, useful language. you can plan on it all you want, but ur not earning any respect until you go thru with it.

  • hey! about itadakimasu ( いただきます ), it means lets eat :) and after you eat you say kochisousama ( 子馳走様 ),

  • You're doing okay, there's one thing though.. Maybe you could use better audio/ recorder (?)

  • Butchering the language nigga

  • And you're just wasting bandwidth. Please go jump off a cliff or something. I don't need your negativity here. Plus, I'm not black. I'm white. Get the racial slang straight.

  • I hope you enjoy the wincest with daddy tonight

  • 'Wincest'? Obviously you were trying to say 'incest' but your lack of intelligence led you to place a 'w' before the word. Epic fail.

  • No, the W was intentional, dumbass.

Again, enjoy your wincest with daddy tonight.

    Weeaboo faggot Japanese fangirl

  • I still call epic fail, because this in no way affects me. Seriously, get a life.

  • Stop replying and allow me to troll. And stop using crappy outdated 4chan memes like 'epic fail'. Japan fangirl fag.

  • It's not outdated. It's used every day. And not just by me. Check Attack of the Show on G4, dumbass.

And no, you're not allowed to troll on my site. You're just a fucking failure at life and therefore want to make yourself seem more important by bringing people who are loads better than you down to your own level. That, Czirro, is what epic fail is all about.

  • you shouldn't reply to all who insult you ^_^, just hatters don't bother :), take care ! oh and by the way, make some grammar lessons included in your video, not just vocabulary, that will be cool, oh and a part where you teach one kyu kanji then you advance, that will be also cool :D じゃあまたね

  • I did plan on doing a grammar lesson once. I don't remember why I didn't. xD But I definitely will in the future!

  • Hey, don't let the idiots that put up negative comments phase you--like you said. You're doing a good job. I've lived abroad before and had to deal with some "haters" before, too. You'll realize that if you were to try to speak a foreign language in someone's country, they'll greatly appreciate it. More than if you immediately asked, "Do you speak English?" That's pretty bad. I've seen it a bit...including: "Why don't you speak English?" WHILE the female American was in this LADY's country!

  • do itashi mashite. That is freaking adorable. <33

  • You're welcome. =]

  • zanazanelol a-hole is the one that needs a life.

I'm Japanese and your Japanese is GREAT! Keep it up!!!!

  • Well, most people don't have the money to pay for a good Japanese class like I'm having to do right now. Sorry that I was born as a Caucasian female so that I fit your pathetic stereotype better, but that doesn't mean I don't take enjoyment in helping others who don't have money or great internet resources. And besides, you think your comments are really going to phase me? I get this at least once a week. Save your energy now.

  • No, it just pisses me off to hear ur lame accent in japanese, there are lots of posts better then yours on youtube, so urs are unnecessary. Really, and not because I am married to a japanese, but because some of the guys out there will believe, the japanese sounds like ur crap.

You want to look smart, but you are just cheap.

So....according to ur narrow mind, everyone who leaves comments should aquire a life, or only the ones that don't taste ur bullshit?

  • Lame!!!!Get a life, bitch!

  • Haha. OK. If you have the time to watch a video you don't like and then leave feedback on it, I believe you're the one who needs to acquire a life.

  • weeaboo

    HNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Yeah, I know. Thanks for the update, Captain Obvious.

  • I have a question:"what do you say OMG in Japanese?".

  • No idea. Google it and tell me. =]

  • "Ohtta Ma Getta" it used as an exclamation of surprise in Japanese.we write it "おったまげた!" on paper.

  • hi!!

    arigatou gozaimasu!!

  • Here you have pretty girl.

    For dou itashimashite=どういたしまして

    See you!!

  • (: This video was interesting, keep up your wonderful videos.

  • Why thank you. =]

  • thats nice, could u pls make more Jpanese teaching videos, apreciate that

  • Wow, your voice goes up when you speak Japanese. XD Your Japanese is really good! ^^

  • You are cute!

    Where do you live??

  • Um, thanks.

    And I'm not telling you.

    Stalker perv.

  • Hi!!

    Im japanese.

    your Japanese is good^^

    はつおんが すばらしいですね^^

    これからもがんばってください♪

  • lol can i just point that out in the background cause now im really annoyed wat is it why is it in all ur videos background that god damn black thing on the bed: really good work by the way

  • i'm pretty sure that's my purse. can't tell though. who knows. never mind what's on my bed. xD it's usually just crap.

  • lol kk xD

  • otanjoubi omedetou gozaimasu

That's happy birthday. Just a little more stuff to tag onto!

  • Kawaii

  • Thank you so much! I knew how to say most of those phrases already but I wasn't totally sure about "You're Welcome". My guess on how to pronounce it was right. Thanks ^^ I love your funny example ("Don't touch my mustache.")! I told it to my sister and she laughed a lot too.

  • Great its helpful! arigato

  • Hi, Kate! I am Koji.

I came across this movie by accident.

Anyway, I am Japanese, and I want to learn English. This movie is very useful tool for me to study English. Thanks!

  • Sweet! Evil J learned something.

Also, the Kanji in the right box are very useful.

As far as haters, who comment bullshit, and morons are concerned, I can only recommend this: AK47.

    It does the job!

  • ... what the fuck was that for, asshat?

  • Ahaha. I love how you think you're being all tough and mean. Sweety, how about you go back to sucking your boyfriends cock and stop picking fights on the internet. It's pathetic.

  • So suddenly you know what the whole Japanese race is thinking? Did they hire you to speak for them or somthing? Stop plaguing other peoples videos when you're just ignorant and can't understand that this person is trying to help. I was an exchange student in Japan and nobody cursed at me just because I was american. I don't know what you're problem is but Hhayaku inaku nareyo that means Fuck you!

p.s. Boku no shiri ni kisu siro, i'll leave you to find out what that means

  • ... I really have no idea what it means nor can I find any easy way to figure it out. Could you please tell me?

  • Boku no shiri ni kisu siro means "kiss my a**" but its roughly translated. Sorry I had to post such a mean comment on one of your learning videos but that person (calicore) was being so rude and I wanted to give them a piece of my mind. Please keep up the videos.

  • Haha. Don't worry about it. I find it hilarious. I curse so much at ignorant people it doesn't bother me. But thanks for sticking up for me. Hey, is there any specific lesson you'd like me to go over, maybe?

  • Calicore, you're an idiot! I've had a few Japanese penpals plus there's website where you can make penpals from Japan and none of them has ever said they hate Whites. In fact, most of them say they want penpals from North America. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about and you're just a plain idiot who knows absolutely nothing of Japan. Get a life!

  • its Kawaii ^^

  • Cool. How about a lesson about the differences between wo and ga, and wa, I think that's one of the hardest things for basic grammar.
