What I understand is that our deen is following the book of Allah and guidance of his prophet(peace be upon hiim). The time wasted in this kind of activities could have been spent in praying nafila or reciting Quran or giving charity,things that were practiced by Rasulullah(sas)

Ibn Majah narrated that Anas, the son of Malik said that: “the Prophet of Allah once as he was walking in the Madinah some young ladies were beating the Tambourine (Duff) and chanting: “We are young women from the tribe of An-Najjar and how great it is to have a neighbour like Prophet Muhammad”. Prophet Muhammad replied what means: “Allah knows that I love you”. In his book Misbahuz-Zujajah the Hafiz Al-Busiri has confirmed the Hadith and classified it as Sahih.
Also Al-Bazzar (another narrator) narrated in his book that the people from Ethiopia danced (in this context dancing refers to jumping on their legs) and chanted in front of Prophet Muhammad and said: “Abal Qasim (referring to Prophet Muhammad) is a good man”, affirmed by Hafith Ibn Al Qattan.
Prophet Muhammad did not object to them for combining dancing with chanting..

@filmzdirect there is a difference between one who is ahli tasawuuf than one who is an extreme sufi master like Kabbani. Tasaswuf is fine but not dancing and jumping while doing zikrallah and salawat. That is something wrong :)

@23pair You are right, this is something that I don't understand. and Alhamdulillah for that. What I understand is that our deen is following the book of Allah and guidance of his prophet(peace be upon hiim). Islam is free from all these crazy jumping, whirling and barking(sorry for the expression, but it sounds exactly like it). The time wasted in this kind of activities could have been spent in praying nafila or reciting Quran or giving charity,things that were practiced by Rasulullah(sas)

Ibn Majah narrated that Anas, the son of Malik said that: “the Prophet of Allah once as he was walking in the Madinah some young ladies were beating the Tambourine (Duff) and chanting: “We are young women from the tribe of An-Najjar and how great it is to have a neighbour like Prophet Muhammad”. Prophet Muhammad replied what means: “Allah knows that I love you”. In his book Misbahuz-Zujajah the Hafiz Al-Busiri has confirmed the Hadith and classified it as Sahih.

Also Al-Bazzar (another narrator) narrated in his book that the people from Ethiopia danced (in this context dancing refers to jumping on their legs) and chanted in front of Prophet Muhammad and said: “Abal Qasim (referring to Prophet Muhammad) is a good man”, affirmed by Hafith Ibn Al Qattan.
Prophet Muhammad did not object to them for combining dancing with chanting..

Those who criticize Darood and Salam (Loud Voice, Read Aloud and this and that)...If you cant cry listening to the Darood being sent on Muhammad PBUH...You need to open your heart, ears and minds...Guess what Allah and Angles were doing when these people were reciting Qaseeda Burdah Shareef..Allah and Angles themselves were sending Darood as they always do. Surah 33 entitled Al-Ahzab (The Confederates), Ayah (verse) 56:

"What is this gathering for?" They replied: "We gathered to do dhikr for God's guidance & hidayah." Then he asked: "Is it true that all of you gathered just for this?" They replied: "Yes, we had this gathering nothing more than dhikr to remember Him, Rasulullah." Definitely there is something wrong here. Some may argue that there is no mixing of women and men here. But we jolly well know there are videos in youtube that shows men and women pogoing and jumping like kangaroos in the same vicinity. I wonder why there are all these divisions?? Nothing like this during the prophet's time and even during the caliphate's time. Not in the hadeeth and even in the seerah. If it was really recommended, I'll bet the prophet would say so. So stop dividing the ummah

@filmzdirect there is a difference between one who is ahli tasawuuf than one who is an extreme sufi master like Kabbani. Tasaswuf is fine but not dancing and jumping while doing zikrallah and salawat. That is something wrong :)

Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Saffarini al-Hanbali [d.241H] relates in his Ghidha' al-albab li-sharh manzumat al-adab from Ibrahim ibn 'Abd Allah al-Qalanasi that Imam Ahmad said about the Sufis: "I don't know people better than them." Someone said to him: "They listen to music and they reach states of ecstasy." He said: "Do you prevent them from enjoying an hour with Allah?"

Shah Ismail Dihlawi was the leading person who spread the teachings of the 'Ahl-i Hadith' Sect in India. But in Siraat-i-Mustaqeem, page 166 he wrote,

I swear, Salafis and others really don't seem to understand the spirit of the deen. Its a religion of great beauty and love for crying out loud. It's about giving expression to all facets of humanity in a dignified way, not repressing your humanity, reason, emotions and feelings. If Salafi=Muslim Islam would not be very attractive to anyone from the outside!

u all must be careful who you call Kafir because only Allah knows who is truly a rejector and who is merely a misguided person. It is not up to u.Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "If somebody accuses another of disbelief or calls him the enemy of Allah, such an accusation will revert to him (the accuser) if the accused is innocent.''

First group of foregin fighters came in begginig of war (1991) and came just to fight and to defend islam.
