Sorry, but I must add my contribution. I was very lucky to spend 7 years with my softly spoken grandfather who was getting on in age. He was quite a character, he was born in a small village of approx 2000 people in total just 30 klm from Samsun in 1892,and he did experience many things, including the slaughter of 1500 innocent people in the one day of the village.
Kazantzidis was a great and wise man, who has anatolian roots. He was singing in Turkish because he got over all this wars and hate, which was in the past, which was only caused by the idiotic ideas of both Turkish & Greek racsists. As a Turk,I know that we are all from the same lands, we are all mixed. we, modern turkish and modern greek, are all brothers and sisters or at least cousins also genetically. Long live Turkish&Greek peace! I hope there would be more integration

I am Cypriot Turkish living in Australia but i grew up on Greek music also, my best friends are mostly Greek, my fathers friends were all Greek in Cyprus too, why should i hate people because of things that politicians did years ago?

I would have been more than happy to share your thoughts and feelings if:
a) Greece's air space wouldn't be violated 20 times every day
b) there wasn't the IMIA incident where the Turks' aggressive intentions are evident
c) there wasn't the Cyprus occupation

I would have been more than happy to share your thoughts and feelings if:
a) Greece's air space wouldn't be violated 20 times every day
b) there wasn't the IMIA incident where the Turks' aggressive intentions are evident
c) there wasn't the Cyprus occupation
If one therefore should consider these factors I find it hard to believe that could then speak about Greek-Turkish friendship unless (one) is not objective or GOD (who has the ability to forgive everything).
