  • Great combination. Enough power to have fun, great sounds, but best part is if you keep your foot out of it great fuel milege. I've had a few supercharged cars and love the low to mid torque increases-perfect for street fun.Good job!

  • Vonzipper-yes! They make a lower intake adapter plate. It fits a stock or aftermarket blower for a 03/04 cobra. Better to get a kb if you want big power, but MUST have a built block past 375rwhp. Stock blower is a good deal to beat stock gts tho.

MrCprince- you don't need any extra usually, the kit comes with electronics, injectors, fuel pump upgrade, nuts and bolts (it's usually complete as far as "kits"). But you can make your own kit piece by piece. Or if your talking motor, then usually if

  • Can I put a cobra supercharger on my stock 98 V6 mustang .. ? A guy is selling it for $200 that's why I'm asking ..

  • @239stangs no

  • @239stangs Yes you can you just have to have a correct intake plate that mounts the supercharger to the lower intake manifold of your stock engine.

  • How many other things must you have to install the supercharger?

  • I just have 2 Questions for you. Did you notice quite a difference before and after the supercharger install, I know that sounds obvious but I'm curious, Was it worth it? I know that's relative, and I have a 99V6 Mustang would that work for me>?

  • it does seem like fun though...

  • sick ride tho , i bet that thing is fun !

  • wtf my mustang has the inkake on the other side . did you need to switch it to the other side because of the supercharger ?

  • @lovetosplash

Since 05 the stock intakes and aftermarket intakes have always been on the drivers side. Perhaps you have a different generation?

  • @Chente2004

oh ya ya mine is a 2003

  • i just have the supercharger and air intake...hopefully soon i will get a camshaft

  • How much did the supercharger run you?

  • @Patron1520 he probably paid about 3400 or sumwhere in that area, dats how how much i paid for mines

  • two thumbs up!

  • I'm kind of car retarded, but what does it mean when you supercharge an engine? lol. I just got a 2011 V6

  • @oceanxcityxo gives it more air to breathe

  • @oceanxcityxo lol it doesn't give you more air to breathe what the fuck it gives like 200 more hp

  • @punjabdabest a supercharger or turbocharger forces more air into the engine

  • @punjabdabest Noob Response. The SVT Cobra 03-04 with Supercharger added 80 HP from the factory. Trying to add 200HP to this engine would be a catastrophe, If it had stock internals. Also it would need a kennebelle or something of that nature..

  • @oceanxcityxo To boost air pressure into in intake manifold through the heads, and into the combustion chamber. Or to pressurize your engine. More air+More Fuel= More Power.

  • Do you have plans to do CAI, exhaust, and suspension?

  • Very nice. If it isn't obvious and you don't have it already, to help tracking and to safely manage that power, look into the 8.8 GT rear axle and defiantly a t-lok (LSD) because one tire spinning with 276whp is just going to be a mess all over the road. I'm sure you know this though =]

  • @wolf1010 It was a mess but it was fun for awhile lol. I got a rear end of a totaled 08 GT (front end crash) spun the tires, checked for sounds, and looked for leaks everything checked out. Been on the car for over a year and no problems.

  • WTF!!! That damn thing sounds MEAN!!!

  • can someone please tell me if these x chargers for the 2010 v6 mustangs can be installed on automatic mustangs or do they have to be manual .... i am a complete noob to these car mod thing and i would greatly appreciate your help. ...... so my 1 question for now is i have a 2010 v6 mustang automatic can i install the x charger for the 2010 v6 on my automatic ...thank you very much

  • @QPKICKER12

There is a link in the description click on it then click superchargers there will be 6 different x charger kits for 2010 models it doesnt matter if your auto or manual

  • @QPKICKER12 yes it can be installed on an automatic transmission. i know of a few people that have X chargers and all of them are cars between 05-09 using the stock 5R55S transmission, i dont know anyone that has a 2010 automatic though but i really dont see why it cannot be installed, explorer express sells them for 2010s and im positive you can use it on your auto

  • @QPKICKER12 go onto the youtube site and ask

  • @QPKICKER12 Doesnt matter the intake manifolds will be the same.

  • i went to the website link you put in the info box ... the kit is for 4000$ ?????

isnt that alot? .... if i were you .... i would trade in the car w/ the new 2011 V6 -

305 Hp (it's puin' more Hp while it's even N/A) . wuts you point of puting that 4000$ ? ... dude i mean ,4000$ could helped as a good down-payment.

    but good luck thou

  • lol wtf? you put 4000$ in a older car because a newer car just cost to much to modify not to say insurance

  • My car is paid off, bought the kit used for $2,600 with 8k miles on it. 276hp was at the wheels so i know im getting more then 304hp crank. But its not even about hp its about TQ. HP sells cars TQ wins races. 290tq at the wheels compared to 280 crank you decide which is best. To get a new V6 with the same options as mine would be well over $28k - 8k trade in. So spend $2,600 or get $20k in debt? And taking into consideration im still in college and working only part time...

  • tnx for the explanation ...

now i get your point i guess.

    take care & stay cool.

  • thats pretty cool. get 1/4mi up!!

  • he what engine is that??

do u know if you can install a supercharger like that on a 1996 mustang 3.8L v6?????

  • yes u need to swap a split port head intake lower intake (split port) then swap a m112

or you can swap a m90 strait but u need to do alot of work on fuel system tune and alot more stuff

  • Not to mention a new hood to fit over the M112 lol or so i hear.

  • Good job guys. I actually like your v6 stang. Im a 5.0 guy. own one too.

But that sounds like its coming togethor good. Get the 1/4 times up there

  • Thanks man I plan to one day build up a fox just for the drag strip, but right now my priorites are to graduate college, find a job, and move out lol.

  • @Chente2004 any dramatical change in fuel economy?

  • @AlienmindX

Not if you can keep off the gas, but you will need to use premium from now on. Well you could get a tune for regular gas but you would lose some hp

  • i have a t5 turbo 96 v6 mustang making 300hp 315torque. with stock internals. but with a split port check it out its called split port mustang and its "video 131" or before turbo is "my short drift. I WILL NOT SHOW A VID OF MY MOTOR THOUGH.

  • LMAO no vid of your motor? Why....oh probably because you dont have a turbo installed! Seriously i dont understand why you would come in here blabbing about how you have a turbo v6 with 300hp and blah blah blah and say you will not show a vid of the motor? Scarred someone off youtube will be able to identify your car just by an engine bay shot and go steall all your stuff?

  • @Chente2004 i just don't wanna show it, i street race soo. i just like too tease

  • how much money did you spend on it!!!!

  • How amazingly different was the car after you put the charger on it? Worth it? Or better to save for a GT?

  • thats strange.. i would have thought for SURE that you would be over 300 horses with that. did you tune down the boost?

  • well it is...300 crank hp...

  • yea me too ive seen other superchargers put out over 300 on a six

  • looks like the belt was slipping

  • ya same here looks like the belt was slipping at high rpm's

  • i've heard that Powerhouse411 makes a v6 turbo system that is adjustable from 290 up to 450 [using race gas].

roughly 5 grand will bring it home

  • Yeah but you cant just adjust it and leave it alone. You have to worry about the trans breaking, drive shaft, valves, rear end.

If you have a manual V6 that thing is never gonna stand up to 450hp. the 7.5 rear will be past its limit not to mention the stock v6 block is really only good for 350rwhp

Its a good turbo though and has seen the best results out of any forced induction. The hp u get at PSI level is amazing.

  • idk Ive seen them up to 550 rwhp on stock internals the T5 no probably not...not with out a complete rebuild

  • Please show me where you saw a 550rwhp 4.0 V6 on stock internals

  • I cant find the guy online...this was just at the local 1/8th mile here in Sanger TX...and I did find out it was NOT stock at all...I was misinformed.

  • @Tigeron1a that is physically impossible to do without completely rebuilding the engine and adding forced induction, not to mention a completely custom driveshaft and an upgraded rear diff

  • @ADD8oi

LOL care to see how old that post was? Anyways your right...the 4.0 can handle about 350 wheel...past that it definitely does need some major work to the internals...I have since then dropped the idea of modding this engine in the place of something different after researching all the drawbacks dealing with the construction of the engine, and the one that i saw that had the numbers...he lied about what was inside it. It was heavily modified.

  • @Tigeron1a haha yeah, i saw the date right after i hit post, but its possible with a bored built engine, but not the stock, the stock block is good for about 400hp on a stock block with stock internals, after that you need built internals lol

  • You must be kidding, go to v6powerdotnet. They have people on stock block at 400RWHP.

  • Please show me where? I looked in the dyno section of that site and dont see 1 4.0 at or above 400rwhp on a stock or aftermarket block.

  • so its better on a automatic!!?

  • Oh Yes!

  • Oh Yes!

  • quick question, im looking into picking up one of these for my 07...how did you get yours black?

  • i was thinking the same thing....He may have painted it. Looks nice

  • I got mine used. The previous owner painted it black with high temperature engine paint.

  • uhhh...what is that sound?it starts at 0:18.

    i dont think its normal.

  • The quality of the vid sucks. I took it with a digital camera, not a video camera. Everything sounds fine to me and I installed this back in Sep.2008 I believe and have had no porblems. So looks like everything is normal.

  • ohh,good then.

  • How much did the X Charger help with you exhaust sound??

  • I really havent noticed a big change in my exhaust. Then again ive never let anyone drive it so i can listen from the outside.

  • have someone just sit in your car and rev it :) that way they dont drive :D

  • what year ?

  • 2006

  • wow that cold air intake sure takes it in, what type is it

  • its a cold air intake that is supplied with the supercharger when u buy it. I belive it is a K&N filter

  • Sweet man, now you need some vids of it in action
