Very clean, but I agree with some other comments that the crunchy tone takes away from it a bit. Paul Gilbert's recent version, for example, is cleaner. Still, bravissimo: you've inspired me to learn it.
Wow, to learn that is incredible. And then to not have even one off note is amazing. Well done, that was perfect.
(I would like to hear you do a classical piece with no distortion. I find it a little easier on the ears and I find you can get much better dynamics with a clean sound. (Just my little 2cents)
"going up and down scales, maybe some patterns etc."
I think that you are the one with the reading comprehension problem. That quote above is a description of the piece, not the performance style. Anyone who would say this is musically illiterate.
I really like some classical pieces, but this one represents the style which has no real highs or lows, just going up and down scales, maybe some patterns etc. But your playing is as great as always, nothing wrong with that! I just wish you´d make more Symphony X covers! :D
Your ear is not developed enough to even hear what the materials are that Bach is using, much less to appreciate what he does with them. Study music some more, and eventually perhaps you'll have what it takes to appreciate a great piece of music.
mad00002: "just going up and down scales, maybe some patterns". Such comments reveal your ignorance and lack of ears. It's better to shut up when you don't know what you're talking about.
I totally agree. It just astonished me that someone so ignorant of elementary elements of music as mad0002 would undertake to criticize Bach based on such a mistaken analysis. If mad0002 had merely expressed a dislike for this piece, that's one thing. But to incorrectly describe it as "going up and down scales, maybe some patterns" is, well, a public display of ignorance.
As a classical guitar fan, I clicked on this expecting to hate it, but for Bach played on a distorted electric guitar, it was good! Your playing was very precise.
you didn't play it in d minor

I was just correcting a false statement. Why do you have a problem with truth and knowledge?

I claim only a basic level of musical literacy, which is more than either of the airhead commenters I replied to has.

Sure.. :D If I need a degree to appreciate this piece, I think I´m better off listening to simple folk´s music, your highness.

Yes, but you do not need to study music to appreciate Bach... His sense of Melody is superb
