I agree about the descant (which might have been brought out with better microphone technique). That having been said, this is WONDERFUL stuff!: far reaching, imaginative, thoroughly musical and tremendously entertaining! I'd go hear these folks anytime!
You guys need to find an accordion with a 32-foot rank! :-) But seriously, great voicing, articulation and balance. I loved the spirit and energy of your performance. Favorited!
Although the piece should never be played this fast on a pipe organ, it is wonderfully convincing in this version. Even the registrations (which accordions can do!) are excellent...
What a grand performance! It just goes to prove that great music is always great no matter what instrument(s) it it played on. Some organists could learn a thing or two from this...but they probably won't...
This is totally awesome. I loved every minute of the viewing. I would have liked to hear this done in a cathedral just to hear hnow the instruments sounded with the natural echo chambers. Thank you so much for sharing this.

would have like to have had the descant more prominent, above the accompaniment, this is still very entertaining.
and that's the whole point, isn't it?

This is FAR more artistic than most organists can accomplish. Beautiful and musical. They have observed all of Widor's markings faultlessly.

What other venues will they think of next? Kazoos?.... :) How about Jew harps?:D
Pretty amusing(!), but I prefer the organ version. Maybe some accordian manufacturer could custom build one big enough to produce 32' tones.:)

Although I agree with musicalwatch about the speed, this is absolutely mind-blowing. Great work.

This is FABULOUS!!!
What would have been kinda fun would have been to have blasted a single FFFF on a 32-foot organ bombarde on the very last note!

You know, it never occurred to me that the Widor is really just a long overblown polka...ja, sure! (C'mon, I'm only kidding!)

Your darn right we won't!!!

That's what I like...an open mind. One reason why people don't go to organ recitals any more: No imagination = no audience.

Although I will admitt that is kinda' cool

Interesting...I never thought it could be played like this. Thanks for posting it

I never would have thought of this piece of music played on an accordian, appart from it being played too fast, I rather like it!
