Paul Young arranger and producer took a ok, forgettable tune and made it really great and meaningful. Shows how important putting the right production is on a song!!! My 2 cents :)

As a songwritter that to this point hasn't gone anywhere I can tell you that it would be great for someone to cover one of my songs even if they changed the arrangement.

I am sure Daryl Hall, who I think was the writer on this particular song, didn't mind it when Paul Young covered his song.

Young did a good job on his version, and both versions are great, one is not better than the other but just different.
