  • best fusion evar !!!!!! This entire album rocks.

  • groove,,,groove,,en mode groove,,,VIVE LE GROOVE,,ho yeahhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Musicianship. In this era, there were people who maintained a tradition of discipline and held onto standards. Miles was, and is, the standard by which. This music stands the test of time, as any great art does. Miles was a great influence on a lot of great people. You can have blues without jazz, but you can never have jazz without blues. All good music has some blues in it. It is the vehicle by which musicians express themselves.

  • If you listen to most pop/rock of the 70s, you'd flee screaming. But then there was stuff like this. My brother and I would listen to Miles' Bitches Brew, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Larry Coryell, Weather Report, and this. There was a lot of beautiful, adventurous music being produced.

  • @dal4108,Jimi was huge influence in the jazz community. I know Lenny and Stan were. Not sure if Al and Chick were.

  • So unique, so tight, so smooth...such great jazz musicians that belnd so well.

  • me cago en coca

  • what?

  • @FALKHET "Album" aka "Vinyl" or "Record" (noun) Inferior-quality analogue audio recording media that evokes a strong nostalgic response in many who remember the time prior to the 1980s (and a few who don't).

  • Maybe you can help me find a band from the 70's or 80's, Maybe their name was Isthaca or Yathaca???? I think they we not to famous but put out one album that was very Jazzy/Samba fusion, wild man! If any one knows what iam talking about help me find them. • @britocho hehe casi!

  • Incredible group of musicians...It changed my life forever and introduced me to jazz-fusion. This particular album changed the face of what this kind of music can and should be. Very sophisticated music for the day and even by todays standards. This album will live on Forever ;)

  • en el año 1976,escuche por primera vez , a estos maestros, hoy como tantas veces, al oirlos , sigo pensando que ,siempre estaran vigentes, esta musica es eterna ,maravillosamente eterna........................

  • Romantic Warrior was the most important Jazz album of its day and here is why: It was the very first to open Jazz fusion on a large scale. Those who liked Jazz, Funk, Rock and even Disco were drawn to this most universal of works.

This album that began the era of popular, New York based Jazz. From 1976 to '83 acts like RTF, G Benson, H Hancock, Weather Report, Manhattan Transfer and many others crossed from great Jazz to pop music with uncanny ease. This album opened the door for it all.

  • @arkady714 Did they borrow some from Jimi Hendrix I know he was into experimental stuff in the late 60's before he died. Please tell me if I'am wrong

  • @dal4018 I really wouldn't know if they were influenced by Hendrix. Hendrix's music was rootede more in blues than by jazz. In this album, I personally don't hear a lot of blues influence.

  • @arkady714 Okay just curious because Hendrix played both styles in his prime he was PRINCE when PRINCE was learning to walk.

  • 5:25 to 6:40, what a 1-1/4 minute of music. The song ends on a Jeff Beck note to me.

  • somebody gave this thumbs down, They must need a new hearing aid.

  • @jmg4314 ya dam right they need a new hearing aid, probably a hard core country music numb skull.

  • Beautiful electric piano. And tight drums. And solid bass. And funky guitars. Jeez, I'm surprised the world didn't implode after these guys started writing music.

  • @SirDJMuziek Well, MY world imploded when I bought this album in the early 80s. :-)

  • @Hambonillo I kept my ears open ever after "No Mystery".

  • grown up music!

  • OOOOh!! This is a rare cut!

  • Nice!

  • Thumbs Up For Chick Corea

  • I can't believe this was done in '76. It sounds very modern.

  • groove ...
