@kd3 Your gona need a copy of windows, i have a copied version of 7. You can borrow a disk of a friend and you don't need a serial number when installing but it helps to have one, or Microsoft will keep sending you messages telling you to buy windows 7.

@signupsigma Silent and cold even when running a lot of programs, although eventually too much processes will turn on the fans but you needn't worry. My average fan speed on 13 inch MacBook Pro is 2000 RPM i.e. you wont hear it with your head on the keyboard

I also run mac snow leopard at my church for multimedia. i have never had my windows crash, and windows 7 is tied with mac. but if u buy a mac and put windows vista on it... then its not a mac. it still can crash because its not a mac any more, its a pc using pc software and pc drivers... only thing thats mac is the machine...

OSX (The Mac OS) is actually extremely simple and easy to learn, but it is also very powerful.

many things you know about windows have their mac counterpart (Control Panel = System Preferences, Apple Bar + Dock = Task Bar, Etc...).

the one thing thats way better about mac's are the way things install. there are no .exe files. you get a .dmg (an ISO in windows) that mounts itself after it downloads. you drag an icon from inside the mounted file to a folder, unmount the file, and its installed...

you probably wont understand all of this, but macs have a program called boot camp, where you partition your harddrive (set apart a certain amount of it for things other than your mac) and and easily install XP, Vista, or Win7 ont that partition. all you need is one of those install disks (who doesnt have an xp disk somewhere...?) and when you want to play games, you boot up into windows (restart and choose windows) and install windows programs there. No problem. The 13" Macbook Pro will run Windows 7 through either paralells or bootcamp so no worries about that. As far as which laptop you spend your money on, I personally would go with the Macbook Pro. I love mine and it hasn' let me down yet.

For now, you can't install Windows 7 via Bootcamp. Only XP and Vista.
