Are you still looking for a drummer? I live in Zephyrhills. I've been playing drums and percussion for 9 years, and have studied privately for 8 years.
when I started my two piece I tried not to listen to the only other one I knew (DFA1979) then I somehow stumbled across every bass and drums duo on the planet, it's nice to hear the set-up steer away from thrash, the musicality on this rocks, Nice pipes, sick tone and that guy can totally hit those drums
@Yetylebowsky Thanks so much! I get my distortion by splitting my signal and running one line into a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier half stack. Sounds massive!!
@clattermo Clatter, do you remember meeting a man and woman named Joseph (Joe) and Christina (Christie or Tish) at a Columbia gig a few years back? This is their son, and your music freakin' amazing!!
@PicoGigaMan You know, it would be so much less complicated if that worked for me! Unfortunately, I tried it and didn't like the sound I got. So, I have to split my signal 3 ways with A/B/Y boxes. It's a nice, flexible method for getting the sound I want.
WoW!... I have been working on a rock project with percussion and DBR Stick, we have been thinking about just keeping it a 2 piece. I did a little research on line and found this GREAT band! Thanks for the inspiration!..Cant wait to get the CD's
Hey, so glad you stopped by! Best of luck with the 2-piece band idea -- you should definitely stay a duo!! We're honored that we could be an inspiration.
Those are called octabans. Technically mine are a half set (the low-pitch four) since a full set is 8 drums (hence the "octa"). All 8 are the same diameter -- 6" -- it's the length of the tube that gives them their pitch. My are made by Odery (from Brazil) and are wooden. Tama invented them and still offer them in fiberglass; Pearl and Peace both make aluminum ones. I believe DW now offers them, too. --Joe / Clatter
This is absolutely amazing. I love the bass line and the drummer is fantastic. The vocals soar over all that instrumental awesomeness to make it quite fantastic. What you have is truely unique and I admire your talents and creativity.
Yes, actually I bought a fretless Ric about a million years ago and just haven't devoted the time to learning how to play it properly. I want to be sure I do it justice!
i did just the opposite. i bought a fretless warwick alot like the one jack bruce from cream used to play, knowing full well that i had not even the most basic knowedge of how to use it. but slowly but surely i am getting better. i can only do the most basic scales and stuff but i practice everyday.
Do you/would you ever come near phoenix, AZ on tour?
It is so refreshing to listen to this great duo as compared to truly pathetic boring guitar bands such as the worst bands of all time - Nirvana and Pearl Jam
Pretty awesome location, and bass playing. The song was a little repetitive, and I think more could have been done on a video standpoint, but it's definitely a great starting off point.
Fucking awesome!

I wonder if she uses the Rick-o-socket to split the signal. One channel distorted and the other channel clean bass. If so interesting application...

you said that your always looking for new sounds so that you can expand your sound. have you ever played or considered playing a fretless bass?

I don't like the vocals. But you are a rapist at bass (that's a complement). Strumming on a bass, unusual.

wow, im really surprised how much i liked that. that was great!
