  • Holy crap i wasnt sure what to expect when i saw just a girl on bass and a guy on drums. turns out i should have expected to have my brains blown :D

  • Oh my God. Fresh.

  • There way better live(:

  • that is one busy bassline

  • nice sound

  • KICK ASS!!

  • Are you still looking for a drummer? I live in Zephyrhills. I've been playing drums and percussion for 9 years, and have studied privately for 8 years.

  • Bass + Drums = AWESOMENESS.

  • OK - I love you.

  • @AdamBalm13 Haha! Do you love Joe, Amy, or the band in general?! >;-D

  • Amy play some Caravan on bass!!!

  • when I started my two piece I tried not to listen to the only other one I knew (DFA1979) then I somehow stumbled across every bass and drums duo on the planet, it's nice to hear the set-up steer away from thrash, the musicality on this rocks, Nice pipes, sick tone and that guy can totally hit those drums

  • Amazing Song and sound! You Rock! I was wondering, what kind of distortion are you using? Pedal or Head? Thanks

  • @Yetylebowsky Thanks so much! I get my distortion by splitting my signal and running one line into a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier half stack. Sounds massive!!

  • @clattermo Clatter, do you remember meeting a man and woman named Joseph (Joe) and Christina (Christie or Tish) at a Columbia gig a few years back? This is their son, and your music freakin' amazing!!

  • @retardrepellent Thanks!! Where do you guys live?? We think we know who you are. ;)

  • nice ric bass

  • Great song. Real bass treat !

  • I wonder if she uses the Rick-o-socket to split the signal. One channel distorted and the other channel clean bass. If so interesting application...

  • @PicoGigaMan You know, it would be so much less complicated if that worked for me! Unfortunately, I tried it and didn't like the sound I got. So, I have to split my signal 3 ways with A/B/Y boxes. It's a nice, flexible method for getting the sound I want.

    Thanks for watching!

    Amy / Clatter

  • @clattermo That will work. I'm a trail and error person too. Trying to find what works best.

  • wow !!!! five stars !!! '' ***** ''

  • Clatter is my new favorite band... you guys are an inspirations to bassists everywhere... and you have great taste in basses. Love the 12 string.

  • Amazing!!!!The "Rick" tone is like a razorblade!!!

You have a fan in Brasil!

  • one of the best Ric tones ever.

  • one of the best voices i've heard in rock music

  • Absolutely brilliant. Enjoyed the bass playing too.

  • Thanks! Enjoyed your playing, too!

  • WOW you guys sound like tool and your really good.

a bass tab would be great

  • That's a really cool bass riff!

  • Jesus christ you guys are good!

  • The bass playing is sick, and so is the drumming, but i think you guys might need a singer :(

  • :O

  • i like this video better than the other one.

  • So awesome!

  • By the way I think this version of video is better.. :)

  • This is great.

  • WoW!... I have been working on a rock project with percussion and DBR Stick, we have been thinking about just keeping it a 2 piece. I did a little research on line and found this GREAT band! Thanks for the inspiration!..Cant wait to get the CD's

  • Hey, so glad you stopped by! Best of luck with the 2-piece band idea -- you should definitely stay a duo!! We're honored that we could be an inspiration.

    Amy and Joe

  • Ricks have the most beautiful sound of any bass guitar ive ever heard.

  • I have to agree with you there!! <:-)

    Amy

  • nice job! you're like the opposite of white stripes... female vocals guy on drums guitar instead of bass

  • Nice bass, got a crazy amp set up i saw in that other video. Keep it up I gotta get me a Ric. Its not every day you see a girl playing a bass.

  • what do you call/ where do you get those tube looking drums on the left side of the kit???

  • Those are called octabans. Technically mine are a half set (the low-pitch four) since a full set is 8 drums (hence the "octa"). All 8 are the same diameter -- 6" -- it's the length of the tube that gives them their pitch. My are made by Odery (from Brazil) and are wooden. Tama invented them and still offer them in fiberglass; Pearl and Peace both make aluminum ones. I believe DW now offers them, too. --Joe / Clatter

  • thanx man.

  • Cool video...I love music and nature together...Sweet rickenbacker bass ! Drummer rocks...5 out of 5 !

  • This is absolutely amazing. I love the bass line and the drummer is fantastic. The vocals soar over all that instrumental awesomeness to make it quite fantastic. What you have is truely unique and I admire your talents and creativity.

  • O_o awesome!!! f+!!!

  • Oh man that rocked! Awesome, and I didn't even miss the guitar.

  • What do you do with the pick after you stop strumming? please reply.

  • Hey Nick, I actually don't use a pick, I just strum with my fingernails. Makes it a lot easier!

  • Yeah i noticed after watching one of your other videos. :D Thanks for replying though.

  • you said that your always looking for new sounds so that you can expand your sound. have you ever played or considered playing a fretless bass?

  • Yes, actually I bought a fretless Ric about a million years ago and just haven't devoted the time to learning how to play it properly. I want to be sure I do it justice!

  • i did just the opposite. i bought a fretless warwick alot like the one jack bruce from cream used to play, knowing full well that i had not even the most basic knowedge of how to use it. but slowly but surely i am getting better. i can only do the most basic scales and stuff but i practice everyday.

Do you/would you ever come near phoenix, AZ on tour?

  • I don't like the vocals. But you are a rapist at bass (that's a complement). Strumming on a bass, unusual.

  • wow, im really surprised how much i liked that. that was great!

  • she runs the bass through an amplifyer that allwers her to play guitar and bass a thte same time.

2 man bands are awesome, for example the White Stripes.

  • Ditzybrat101 If you like two man bands check out Shelter Red.

  • I did'nt know it was possible to do this with only bass and drums, it sounds pretty god

  • Have y'all ever thought of adding a guitar player? If so, I'm glad you came to your senses! :D

  • It is so refreshing to listen to this great duo as compared to truly pathetic boring guitar bands such as the worst bands of all time - Nirvana and Pearl Jam

  • Man, it's amazing how much you can do with a bass guitar. I hope to one day hold half as much skill as you've got...I love this song's riff!

  • Great sound, and great scenerie :)

    Greetings :)

  • OMG! =) I'm your fan now ;)

    This is AWESOME.

  • Pretty awesome location, and bass playing. The song was a little repetitive, and I think more could have been done on a video standpoint, but it's definitely a great starting off point.

  • WOW that was great....you guys got it goin on

  • Whoa! Absolutely loved it. Wish you both the best. The ric sounds great!

  • Speechless! You guys never cease to amaze me!

  • love the bass, you guys rock, keep up the good work, and come out some time k?

    ~Shane Franklin

  • Joe and Amy rock my world!

There is no doubt Clatter is a

    force of and for nature.

  • cool song & vid :)

  • Fabulous video, well done, Amy and Joe!
