@itchytheninja Yep, I actually believe that this particular couple are the closest that a game has ever come to hinting at a yaoi relationship without ever making it canon. I mean, Miles and Phoenix are waaaay too obsessed with each other in the game... That's probably the best we'll get since no game company would ever do a canon legitimate (i.e. non-comical) gay relationship--it would be financial suicide. Too bad really, I guess it's all up to crummy yaoi slideshows on youtube for now.
@c5365 To all the yaoi critics who are always like "why do you people have to subvert a canon straight couple to do your pointless vids?", my earlier comment explains exactly why we have to. There are extremely few legitimate yaoi couples available; none in any games and only a very few in anime available in the U.S. There's just a real dearth, so we take our beloved game characters and make a bit of a fantasy for our own amusement. It's just for fun, so don't sweat it!
Now, now, I still thoroughly enjoy the crummy slideshows ^^. You do make a valid point, with the whole non canon gay relationship. Honestly, Phoenix became a lawyer to find Miles, then he defends him even when Miles acts like a prick, and then they work with each other and defend each other...I mean, c'mon, what guy picks a profession based on an elementary school encounter? Even when Miles acted like a jerk, Phoenix STILL sympathizes and befriends him like nothing happened? That's love.
@itchytheninja Yes! That's a completely non-normal amount of involvement for "just a friend". I mean, Larry is supposedly Phoenix's best friend and I don't see Phoenix fawning all over him and trying to fix all his life problems (Oh Larry, I too wish to be a hot dog vendor to help you!!!!). Another interesting thing is that Phoenix and Miles have pretty much opposite personalities, and you know how yaoi fans are drawn to characters with opposite personalities...like two halves of whole.
@c5365 I couldn't agree more! That, and Miles is way cuter than Larry. Plus he has that whole tormented, traumatized hottie thing going on, making Phoenix want to "fix" him and make him all smiley and giddy. It's adorable to watch, and I don't care what anyone says, if you read between the lines, they're a couple. End of discussion.
@itchytheninja What, Larry's not the epitome of sexiness? Ha ha, just kidding. Seriously, no one can resist the allure of that dashing magenta suit and sexy cravat! On a side note, i think the cravat should come back into style...

LMAO! I love the look on Phoenix's face at 2:23.
