Ubuntu Compiz Fusion

How do you get the four desktops at once? I can use ctrl-alt + down to get my current desktop and the two either side, but I need to hold down ctrl-alt and I can't move windows around.

Any ideas?

porbably u are using the cube plugin (with 'unfold' option when u press ctrl+alt+down).

there is another plugin called 'Expo' (the one i have used in the video) that show all virtual desktops and allow to move the windows from one desk to another.

thats great and all but can any of you tell me how to put a background environment out side around the cube,like a 3d effect,i have heard of so many ways,i have compiz config effects settings manager,i could use beryl,emerald themes etc etc,but im afraid of conflictions.

In the 'rotate cube' effect of compiz, there's a section under the Appearance tab that's named SkyDome. I think that's what you're looking for.

didn't know that fraps runs on linux. i use "istanbul" to record desktop sessions natively on linux, it comes with ubuntu and is very easy to use ;)

@ThExR3V0LVER OS-X is UNIX its called Darwin in its Open Source variant. UNIX has designed in 1973 it has evolved as time has passed in to Unix System 7, OS-X, BSD, and Linux. Read the history of DOS and Windows it doesn't come close to UNIX. Now Linux has taken over 97% of all server are Linux based. including Google, Facebook and many more. Windows NT is just not secure enough. Sorry for the history lesson but "SUCKS OMFG GO SCREW UNIX IS SHIT" hit a nerve.
