@kaita11 no. They deal ~ 1/4 life to bosses (or maybe it's 1/2... I never owned the game myself but I did play it to completion). I know for a fact they won't always kill normal robots too, if the robot happens to be very very strong.

And if you want to hear a bit of trivia, in MMX2, the final boss (sigma's virus head) wasn't 1-hit killed by the shoryuken. He apparently had 3 colours (each ~1 life bar long) which he changed to in a row if you dealt enough damage and shoryuken killed 2 at once

@siriuslunar Yes. Yes it is. Apparently Dr. Light wasn't only brilliant scientist... He found gouken in the mountains and asked to learn the Hadouken so he could teach it to a robot approximately 100-odd years in the future.

Either that or they just wanted to put in a nice cameo =P

What surprises me more than that is that apparently He gave Zero black armor in like x4 or x5, yet how does he even know about Zero? Didn't he die before X was discovered? If he did, Zero was created after X was discovered. Then again, I guess video games don't make a lot of sense most of the time...

X was created by Dr. Light, Zero was created by Dr. Wily, at the same time. Light sealed X to test his judgment to not kill people. Where as Zero presumably killed Wily and all those old garbage robots of the original megaman era.

Dr. Light knew of Zero but didn't know the specifications of any of his systems, which is why the holgram in X5 & X6 says he cannot upgrade his systems.

@younglink3108 He couldn't wake up earlier than X because all reploids are based off X's design. They refer to X and Zero as reploids in the MMX series quite often, though X and Zero are the only remaining robots alive. Sigma wouldn't have been made if X wasn't found first. I wish there was an anime where Zero was completed though, if he was put in a game it wouldn't be fair for anyone XD.

but if you read a bit of Zero's Story, you will notice that the first enconter with sigma was by zero, as well, notice how zero was already a member of the hunters before X became one.

@younglink3108 Megaman X was not a hunter at first. He didn't want to be. He joined up later after deciding it was a way to help people. The story was that Sigma was created after X's design. X was found by Dr. Cain first, and he realized that X was able to think and make decisions for himself, like a human. Because of that, Dr. Cain started sharing the technology of X's base design and created the reploids. Zero was found after, and he had free thought like X; so they thought he was a reploid.

acually zero did wake up earlier X was still sleeping even tho Dr cain found him first he was not awaken yet.. Dr cain based the reploids on him. but he did not wake up till years after most of the reploids where built later.. hint why sigma and X where not to gether when sigma found zero despite the fact they where in the same squad.

The story was that X was found and *awakened* and they were surprised at his ability to form thought, rather than by pure logical calculations. This is when Dr. Cain copied the basis of X's design (he did not understand Light's more intricate workings; which is why the systems of X and Zero are still a mystery up until their death; including why Copy X failed in the MMZ series because he wasn't the same as X). Zero woke up later. X was the first.

The song played in Gate's Stage is based off Mega Man X2's X-Hunter Stage 2 (Agile's Stage). And Mega Man Xtreme is basically a portable mix of Mega Man X and X2.

English: Mega Man Xtreme (GB/GBC) and Mega Man Xtreme 2 (GBC).

Japanese: Rockman X:Cyber Mission (GB/GBC) and Rockman X2:Soul Eraser (GBC).

Mega Man Xtreme is mix of X1 and X2 stages. Mega Man Xtreme 2 is a mix of X1~X3, but adds a lot of its own features (Scramble Change, Zero Armor System, Shop System, Boss Rush) and drastically altered stages. Both have several unique characters/bosses as well as three different difficulty modes.
