This game was woefully disappointing. I am being critical here because i had high expectations. It's fun too play as a team as clones rebels CIS or stoortroopers in Battlefront. But YEAH you should defenetly buy this game...GO and buy it right NOW! :P It's has a solid game story and the gameplay is amazing!
This game is more restricted because its not thousands of years before any other star wars story. Even so it has a great story that does an amazing job of bridging the between episodes 3 and 4. One thing that it does that even the old republic didn't do for me was it made me care about the characters. So no its not all fighting and lightning. :-)

I don't get how that Ben Fritz Variety Reporter say the graphics are better than in The Clone Wars movie, since The Clone Wars is a stylized series based in parts on the U.K. puppet show Thunderbirds. There is no real comparison to a game that tries to look realistic.

To tell the truth, only the Xbox and PS3 versions are good. Yes Wii has the whole interactive thing, and PS2 is the classic system that you already know about, and PSP is great for on-the-go, but these three all fail in graphics. I really have to say, I'd rather have the PS3 version than the Wii version/

Game play wise, Once you learn the basics of the Force the challenge in the game goes right out the window. The only time I used my saber was when I was bored, and yes I played it on Sith Master.

Your a stupid fool, Nobody has to like this game, and i sure didn't find it very gripping in the game aspect, when playing as Darth vader i noticed the ridiculously short draw distance here objects popped in a few feet ahead of you, and this was the PS3 version.
the graphics use Bloom to hide the lack of detail in the levels, also to use the lightsaber all you really need is knowledge of the square button and a penchant for button tapping.
And because their a bit too powerful it loses its feeling of being powerful if its so casually used, Luke skywalker could at best summon a lightsaber by grimacing at it for a few minutes, whereas starkiller is blowing elephants away with sneezes.
Half the problem i think is the fact they tried to make the game fit on PS2 hardware, which is SO OUTDATED AND WEAK which has caused the experiece to be watered down for everyone the only thing you get on PS3 is bloom and higher res character models.
I just played through on the third difficulty (master? Lord? I don't know... the one before the one you have to unlock) and for me, most of the boss fights were just kinda easy, especially once you learn sith strikes and lightning. And most of the enemies WERE easy. There were parts I got stuck just because it was an orgy of variety, but it was kind of an easy game. But since you are supposed to be one of the strongest jedi / sith ever, that's fine.
This game is one of the best games I've played! Seriously, everything about it was great (except the shortness). BTW saying the enemies are easy means you must be playing on the easiest difficulty.

i have to agree that it was somewhat disappointing. the best star wars action game to date is still jedi academy. they pretty much got it right when it comes to gameplay in that game. you could not only go around fighting(in free roaming maps with no invisible boundaries)with all the force powers of a jedi, but you could also use a large variety of guns/rocket launchers etc and vehicles...so it was like force unleashed + a first person shooter...all in the same game. and that was 5 years ago.!
in the game u r sith so use the jedi powers like healing or mind controll isn t logic and if u r a sith u wont use any other weapons only the lightsaber or u just see that vader, maul or sidious use some kind of blaster ?
loved this game, graphics were great and the gameplay was intense. Best starwars game to date, and one of the best games in the past few years in my opinion. Story is kind of short but all the unlockables, multiple endings, and difficulties definitely make up for it.

If given the chance how would I of written the character "Star Killer".
Well for one, I would of treated him like an abused child. Vader being the father. Like many abused children they would FEAR the parent that was the bully. Starkiller would of cowarded in front of Vader everytime they were in the same room together. This is the guy that kiilled his father.
When they werent in the same room Star Killer would be conspiring against Vader, once again he did kill his father !

in the episode 3 game, you could have all of the powers of a jedi in your hands. NOW, in TFU, you can unleash massive amounts of the force and engage in awsome lightsaber battles and take your enemies into an intense finishing move! TFU is the best Star Wars game out there....10 out of 10 stars!!!

This review sucked. Talk about TAME. More like propoganda, then an actual critique of the game.
I am a Star Wars fan and a avid gamer and this game dropped the ball in both story and game play.
Darth Vader's secret apprentice should be known as Darth Emo. He does not sound or act like a Dark Lord of the Sith, more like a whiny metrosexual kid on South Beach.
Second, whats the point of learning combos when you can just toss all your opponents of cliffs and balconies.

The fact that I am a Star Wars fan I am tougher on the stuff that Lucas Arts releases because non-starwars fans dont care either way. If George Lucas went crazy one day and said all Jedi were trained by druken hobbits on the planet Gay-Elf. Non fans wouldnt give a shit.

Crap Storyline , Crap Character, and Crap Gameplay.

I guess the other countless heros in the galaxy during the Dark Time didnt do shit.
Game play wise, Once you learn the basics of the Force the challenge in the game goes right out the window. The only time I used my saber was when I was bored, and yes I played it on Sith Master.

but what do you have againsst the main char and storyline?
the only thing i think isnt good about this game is the limited enemy design, other than that its great!

there have been alot of halfass games for star wars but this is one of the good ones

1.The storyline has plot holes so large you can fit a Star Destroyer through it.
2. The storyline undermines all the other characters that played a part in the rebellion forming. For example the petition of 2000.
3. Starkiller is a throw away character and is nothing like a sith lord. He is too metrosexual and has a wardrobe larger then queen amidala.

For a guy that is suppose to be abused and tortued by Darth Vader for 20 years Star Killer seems "normal" and "sociable".
This goes against everything I would expect him to be. Look at abused children, they are far from normal , many have serious psychology issues, and I would of expected the same from Star Killer but alas he was just another stereotypical " cool uber guy ".
As a storywriter I thought the story was a wash, just something to make a quick buck.

This game is incredible, but do not get it for the PS2. Any other version besides for the PS3 and 360 is cut. The full experience is for those two.

Your a stupid fool, Nobody has to like this game, and i sure didn't find it very gripping in the game aspect, when playing as Darth vader i noticed the ridiculously short draw distance here objects popped in a few feet ahead of you, and this was the PS3 version.
the graphics use Bloom to hide the lack of detail in the levels, also to use the lightsaber all you really need is knowledge of the square button and a penchant for button tapping.
the force powers aren't subtle enough either.

And because their a bit too powerful it loses its feeling of being powerful if its so casually used, Luke skywalker could at best summon a lightsaber by grimacing at it for a few minutes, whereas starkiller is blowing elephants away with sneezes.
Half the problem i think is the fact they tried to make the game fit on PS2 hardware, which is SO OUTDATED AND WEAK which has caused the experiece to be watered down for everyone the only thing you get on PS3 is bloom and higher res character models.

I just played through on the third difficulty (master? Lord? I don't know... the one before the one you have to unlock) and for me, most of the boss fights were just kinda easy, especially once you learn sith strikes and lightning. And most of the enemies WERE easy. There were parts I got stuck just because it was an orgy of variety, but it was kind of an easy game. But since you are supposed to be one of the strongest jedi / sith ever, that's fine.
Sides, it's fun!!

This game is one of the best games I've played! Seriously, everything about it was great (except the shortness). BTW saying the enemies are easy means you must be playing on the easiest difficulty.

i have to agree that it was somewhat disappointing. the best star wars action game to date is still jedi academy. they pretty much got it right when it comes to gameplay in that game. you could not only go around fighting(in free roaming maps with no invisible boundaries)with all the force powers of a jedi, but you could also use a large variety of guns/rocket launchers etc and vehicles...so it was like force unleashed + a first person shooter...all in the same game. and that was 5 years ago.!

loved this game, graphics were great and the gameplay was intense. Best starwars game to date, and one of the best games in the past few years in my opinion. Story is kind of short but all the unlockables, multiple endings, and difficulties definitely make up for it.
