  • it reminds me of Gamer the movie when humans are controlled.

  • Disgusting. They've performed similar experiments on rats. But hey, everything's fine in the name of "progress", right?

    Absolutely repulsive.

  • cut the bullshit and start recreating pokemon

  • Thats just plain creepy.

  • Want to buy: remote-controlled cyborg children, now!

  • he never asked for this

  • I'm thinking cicada symphonies, ok boys right Eb.

  • the only problem with these bugbots is that the weigh less than a pound .too much equipment, like a camera or a voice recorder or something, would be too heavy and the bug wouldn't fly correctly.

Not to mention the batteries on these things only last a few minutes

  • Holy shit.. In b4 army of animal slaves.

  • If cows could do that s*** to us, they would...

  • It's so funny!

  • Holy shit.

  • sick which ever way you want to look at it.

  • This is just blasphemy. Even if they are beetles, who annoy me to kingdom come, this is still wrong. I'd rather them use me, I'm autistic with no future anyway. And how smart is it that we're advertising this latest "weapon" on Youtube? Not to mention a manmade beetle would be 10 times more controllable, as it would be MEANT for this. That thing looks like it was soaked in vodka.

  • DAsheaka I bet that they would love to work with you or any human, but laws forbid experiments with humans, until they are proven safe by experimenting on animals.

I know that it seams wrong to you now, but what these man are discovering, now about the brain of bugs, tomorrow of mammals, might save millions of lifes. And i am not talking just about death. It might help people with no control over a body part because of a stroke be able to walk again and have a normal life and stuff like that.

  • @DDentonas My friend, I'm afraid we live in two different worlds. The way you favor humans over animals, is the same way I favor animals over humans. I have tried to change my mindset, but I always end up thinking, what of the animals? I think it's safe to say I imprinted on animals, rather than humans.

  • @DiamondAsheaka Well if you like animals more then humans think about that. We have used prosthetics on amputated humans for hundreds of years. Now we use them on animals too! We used vaccine's on humans, now we use them to pets too and animals live bigger and richer lives! Whatever useful thing we can get out of this experiment will surely help animals too! Now the question is, do you sacrifice a few to save a lot? For me the answer is clear. :)

  • @DDentonas You don't understand. The number of animals killed in animal testing every year in the U.S. alone is 25-100. Million. And the cruelties performed on some are unspeakable. But for anyone else reading this, I am NOT a member of PETA. They are leading a genocide against domesticated animals and they have killed thousands of innocent, healhy animals turned over by their owners. Sorry, I just had to help spread the word.

  • @DiamondAsheaka Animals killed my family now i'm out for vengence! this weeks blockbuster film. When Animals get attacked: Reloaded

  • @Snakebite105 I don't understand, are you always this out of context?

  • @DiamondAsheaka You know how everyone loves kittens? I've invented a way a way to get kittens to the general populice as fast as possible with my new "Kitten Kannon" Basicly i fire kittens out of a converted elephant gun. Most die but those that meet their target feel the warmth of a loving family who is chineese and therefor wishing to eat the kitten.

  • @Snakebite105 Um... That's racist, I hope you know.

  • @DiamondAsheaka Assuming all chineese eat kittens? I don't assume that all chineese eat kittens and your ignorant of thinking so. I mean come on. Some people are allergic to cats. What I will say just like the italians are said to make great pizza i know the chineese make a good kitten stew.

  • @Snakebite105 Do you really have nothing better to do than bother a 15 year old girl with Asperger's Syndrome?

  • @DiamondAsheaka Its my goal in life to bring equality to all. and that means being as much a dick to the disabled aswell as normal people.

  • @Snakebite105 Disabled? Equality? You're a scumbag. I'm not going to make a fool of myself arguing with you.

  • @DiamondAsheaka seems to me thats all you've been doing if you think any of what i've said mattered at all.

  • @Snakebite105

I agree, but I also agree that you are you're Dad's cum stain & you even have a cum silhouette that looks like the Shroud of Turin on your dads bed from him molesting you... I got nothing against you I just thought saying that would be funny...

  • God must be rolling in his grave....wait...wut?

  • ok what the hell is up with the people calling this 'cruel'? its a BEETLE. >_>; retards

  • awesome awesome awesome

  • Wow, its just a fucking beetle. Better than someone just fucking stepping on it...

    amirite?

  • Fucking CRUEL!!!! What if they use their power for bad like every thing else? Before you know it they will put these in kids. They are helpless, I feel bad for that bug. What makes its life less valuable than mine? nothing, its alive and has a mission and so do I. Great, mind control is what my children get to look forward to. WEEEEE, my children will be so proud of how technologically advanced we are, OH WAIT, THEY HAVE NO FEELINGS AND ARE ROBOTS!!! SICK!!!!!!!!

  • @juniortore1 Just what is the bug's mission you speak of? To make people happy? (It doesn't.) To make the world beautiful? (It doesn't.) It looks like he actually has a bigger purpose now, he's gonna serve his country, or go after bad guys.

  • @greenblue1979 STFU, as long as this shit doesnt go around a lot.

I am fine for using a few for good purposes. Otherwise, It is just wrong

  • I think there's more useful things to do in science other than disrespect living being's lives.

  • @diegocrusius -- Thank you, what if they use their power for bad like every thing else. Before you know it they will but these in kids. They are helpless, I feel bad for that bug. What makes its life less valuable than mine? nothing, its alive and has a mission and so do I.

  • Here the thing if the govern. is letting this air on youtube what dose the real one look like yup lol the real thing it has to where else can they go from here. :o)

  • are u joking me....this is freaking horrible

    mending the normality of nature

its like you being controlled by me!!!

  • Imagine perhaps a pitbull?

  • this is an abomination in the eyes of GOD!

  • The government is gonna put tracking devices on these things and follow us!

  • We're all doomed!

  • I know it's deplorable. But I still can't help but be amazed at how far science has come, to remote-control simple living organisms... scary-cool.

  • Wow you PETA idiots

If this was a human, I'd say something. A dog, I would. A cat, a cow, a monkey. But Its a fucking beatle, get over it

Awesome Technology though. Im thinking... BEATLE SPY CAMS. I wonder what the range of the RC unit is

  • Messed up. Really messed up.

    ...

Someone show this to PETA. They are gonna flip.

  • I hate this, so fucked up

  • Doesn't matter how good they make these little robo-critters. They are already practically illegal. Conservationists have pointed out that if eaten by another animal these bugs (or rather their components) are completely toxic. So they go against conservation laws protecting endangered animals. That, and if they prove to cause distress to the beetles it will fall under the animal cruelty act. Still pretty awesome though.

  • Awfull

    Toworrow in humain child...

  • 1 problem is bugs don't live very long.

maybe genetically engineer the beetles to live longer__

problem 2 is camera 2 big for bug. future gigavision sensor is much smaller

  • Amazing where i can buy a cyborg beetle? XD

  • so i am wearing red undies lol don't ask meh why i am telling you this

  • Watch this video, go "oh that's cool look at the bug being radio controlled". Minutes later, realize that an INSECT IS BEING RADIO CONTROLLED.

  • oh i can do that with a human too. just give me a gun and a blindfold

  • @phattown213 hahaha

  • @phattown213 lol. i like the way you think

  • Will we all be implanted with this crap now?

  • you , not me ...

  • Google

"REMOTE RADIO CONTROL OF INSECT FLIGHT"

    Get many different crazy movies

  • Take your pick, bug lives with control equipment on its back stimulating pleasure or bug gets stepped on/sprayed with insecticides. One way or the other.

  • CRUELTY!

  • ITS A BUG!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a relief that this technology will never be abused.

Any reports that similar technology is already in use on selected human noncensensual experimentees and is being used to torture them or electronically harass them, is just paranoid schizophrenic ranting. Our governments would never want the ability to control peoples' minds.

  • insect must live with electrodes stuck in the body and head and you talk about pleasure?.......

  • It's not that outlandish. One idea that's been pitched around for cyborg soldiers is to rewire their brain so killing stimulates their sex drive. So the cyborg in question, would feel orgasmic when it carried out its helpful new robotic impulses, not feel in pain.

The amount of pleasure that would be released would even make up for their hideously disfigured appearance. It would be a win win situation, all around.

  • there aren't undeniable physical pain using this technique, so also giving an orgasm each 1 minute will not repair to the physical damn that cause it.

  • I'm being incredibly silly. Of course this is monstrous. And people don't care. Welcome to planet Earth, where life is cheap unless you're rich and white. :D

  • @mistertakeda And the wealthiest man on the planet is a hispanic guy. Go figure.

  • 'win win situation, all around'

tell me this wont inevitably be used to inflict violence or reinforce an authoritarian power structure, either directly or indirectly?

  • My good man, only for a while. Then the real fun begins. :F

  • if it's not a problem, why aren't they testing in humans? I bet YuneShik would be pleased to "follow the inputs"

  • gtfo PETA tard, 50,000 insects were maimed or killed by farming equipment harvesting soybeans for your tofu snacks

  • @Kerberoz01'tard' YOU gtfo this is a COMPLETELY diferent context.

  • Dont know watsup with all these sarcastic coments, this shits real... i saw it on the news

  • Yess yesss my plan is falling into place. Soon I will have my insect army that will bring chaos across the land and all the world shall bow down to COBRA MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

  • Google

REMOTE RADIO CONTROL OF INSECT FLIGHT

  • I am not sure if I like the fact that they are using a live Beetle and they are taking away its free will. I wouldn't have a problem with this idea if they would actually use something man made like on the movie RICHIE RICH where the scientist creates a robotic bee. If we can make a live remote control beetle fly in accordance with the controller, then surely we can create a small look-a-like beetle to mimic it. I know it is JUST a beetle but it is messing with God's Creations!

  • The CIA invented a completely man made remote control Dragonfly.

Don't believe me, search for it.

They aren't doing this for that research.

They are using it for "other" research...think about it.

  • That of course only applies, if you can prove that this beetle was actually created by god.

  • mulkins2008 ure kinda right but we humen are getting weak. i mean think about it, in stone age we would not have any problem with this.

  • its not taking away free will. they still have control over themselves. they only follow because those stimulations give pleasure to their brain if they follow them. this is all about neurology, not stealth device.

and God's creation consists of parasites and i guess it's good to know that they benefit by harming others.

    Apocalipse Now

  • they should do this with sharks !

  • And attach laser beams!

  • great app man !

  • haha that thing is gross

  • Imagine you are very tired and someone presses a button, your legs can't take it anymore but they just start and keep running without your control.

    Sick

  • oh god. Those people really have nothing better to do do they? Can't they just spend the money on national health care?

  • It's developed by the US military, they are expected to waste money.

I understand all the protests, but I think there are MUCH more important issues to focus on, this is just a simple insect.

  • Scientific progress is good. I Just because you don't understand this doesn't make it bad or a waste of time/money. I pity you and your close-minded way of thinking,

  • If scientists continue developing stuff like this we will end up with chip-controlled tigers, lions, elephants and in the end human-beings.

Just imagine what harm could be done when "the remote-control" ends up in the wrong hands.

  • too late

  • These are schools, not military bases. If anything this is all baby stuff

  • What if a remote-controlled cyborg bird flies by and eats the remote-controlled beetle ?

  • We will then need remote-controlled cyborg cats....

  • lol

And for the criticers : It's just a beetle, get over it.

  • @motorbreath1983 The future of counterintelligence happens

  • In many ways this can be considered wrong and scary, with which I can only agree.

But there's one good thing that can be derived from this: being able to do this is a proof that scientists are understanding the mechanics of the brain better. If this information is used by medical scientists it can help in the curing of braindiseases like Parkinson's and Tinnitus. Let's hope they'll put it to use in that way and not like 'mind control'.

  • Very sick in each and every way imaginable. Even an insect has a brain en will register pain and discomfort, this is torture indeed. We should be very worried about what they are developing today, if not for the innocent animals and insects populating our planet be it for ourselve's as its certain noone wants to end up with a controll device attached to their braincells.

  • DISCUSTING !!!!!

that's no respect for a livind animal.

unbelievable how cruwl to do this.

    just for war I asume?

  • Comment removed

  • Next step > Humans and dont complain if your the first to receive a chip into your brain to obey like a Zombie.

This is just disgusting and wrong in every way.

  • Hello. I'm a vegetarian, so that means that I have all the right to complain to you. Where to start? This is torture, the animal should do whatever it wants, it has a soul too. Those humans should die, etc. etc. I could do this longer if I wanted too.

  • You're a vegetarian...

Don't you drink milk, eat eggs?

  • that's a vegan. I'm a vegetarian. So I do eat those things. Just no meat and fish.

  • you are a retard, stop complaining and jus go away

  • I kinda lolled, bet you're not a true vegetarian, as vegetarians do eat insects, you just don't know it yourself, or you're just here to gain attention crying over a roach.

If you want attention and make people stop doing this, then change humanity, otherwise, deal with it.

  • Beetle*

  • vegetarians eat insect? Where do you get that kindof bullcrap? And I don't even mean what I said in that post, I just wanted to show the guy about his invalid argument. My only opinion here is that I find this project a huge waste of money.

  • its not torture in this case. the animal IS doing what it wants. it's just following the inputs because it pleases its brain. it doesnt do things if it doesnt want to.

  • Soon the militairy will get a nervecontrole-device.............

Wonderfull we can do this, just like the invention of the atomic bomb#%@&***

  • Sad day for humanity and living entities in general.

  • So this is where you American Tax payers spent your money on..

No wonder your country is Fu*ked up..

  • @ABurghouts of course we need more robotic insects in our country!

  • @Doeboy555 Atleast you dont have to worry about those so called "scientists" to try this on you American civilians. You follow your leaders like cyborgs anyway. Like you dont have a mind of your own.

  • @ABurghouts and im sure we follow them not for any particular reason other than we fucking elected them jackass :D

  • Poor animal... How can we stop this? :-(

  • frequency jammers !!

    2 Disrupt the control signal.

  • This is so wrong... in so many ways

breakin in the freedom of the insect and what will the next step be.. do this with humans? they think they can do anything, play God... stupid MF'ers

    this is really really bad

  • How cruwl to use a living animal for this, cool idea but sad way to do this. I know we kill bugs every day but this is torture, at least when we squash them they are dead instantly.

  • I wonder what the beetle is thinking, when controlled like that. xD

  • nice:))i bet they cost not much

  • this shit freaks me right out

  • poor bug..!

  • beatles carrying swine flu?... will someone please think of the children

  • you guys will get something more by visiting their journal site. Google

REMOTE RADIO CONTROL OF INSECT FLIGHT

crazy thirteen movies show up there.....

    scary

  • Until you people saw this video you probably thought nothing of Beetles

  • ... allowed to use a beetle to gain intelligence in wartimes and save soldiers' lives.

  • secret agent beetle on duty

  • And to all the people protesting. Can you tell me how large an animal has to be before killing it or using it for experiments or as a tool is ok?

When did you last protest about using farm animals for food production (plowing in the east, milking in the west). What about accidentally stepping on an ant, or killing a fly that was bothering you. You people are so full of double standards. Man has used anumals to heighten their standard of living for thousands of years, why should they not be

  • @acnicolet That totally is true, but usually once you kill that fly, or stepping on that ant. its dead. painless. These beetles are alive and still have conscious while being forced to move, i bet that beetle had a dam bad migrane. earlier comment said rats hate the wire to the brain. Though we milk cows with machines, the world is Fu*K up.

  • @j1dobbs every time you cook a piece of chicken you kill millions of bacteria

    :(

  • This is great! Great job working that out! Im sure it will be much better refined in the future. Im am sure it will be a valuable instrument in future intelligence reports, and possibly even save human lives!

  • I agree completely with you Acnicolet. Some times I read/listen comments questioning on the justification of the development of these instruments. The world will go along the time to a community integrated,in peace.

But in the meantime it´s happy for me to know that the main Country that defends the Democracy, the freedom, counts with these "Resources".

It was pleased for me to answer your comment.

  • on a similar study they wired computers directly into a rats cerebral cortex. Their findings "Rats hate that."

  • This is fucking revolting :/

  • This is kinda fucked. It's really not fair for the poor beetles.

Someone could just jam a beetle back and fourth into a wall...people really just don't give 2 shits these days about anything but themselves.

  • ここまでくれば映画の世界だな・・・。

  • But what about the beetle? Have you stopped to consider the beetle's feelings?!? WHAT ABOUT THE BEETLE, DAMN YOU?!?

  • damn they are more advanced that i though.

this will be one EPIC battle for the history of the world

  • 白人の研究はグロイ。

    しかも軍事目的って言うのが共感できない。

    戦争大好きちゃんだな。

  • Just saw the other crazy movies available at the journal website. Google "Remote Radio Control of Insect Flight" or click the link above.

But suggest you guys don't go to the website.

or to the scary, crazy, stupid world.

Bugs are fully under their control....

hope their target don't move to human

  • AOTS :P

  • What happens if somebody accidentally steps on it?

    P.S. It's a literal "bug"

  • what happens?well,I think it gets squashed.

  • And the US looses a million dollars. Like in Get Smart.

  • well,yeah,that too.

  • Dam that NWO,they will now be able to spy us with frickin insect and I hate insects

  • ITS A CONSPIRACY!!!

  • I doubt that the bug would feel pain by getting its muscles stimulated by small electrical impulses.. People already use muscle stimulaters for coma patients, or for fitting stomach without having to workout..

However I still find it kind of disturbing that you experiment with creature movement, and takes control over another beings "actions", that might contraverse it's intentions and will (if theese creatures posses such!).. It's especially sick, when you can create mechanic substitutes!!

  • horrible and fucked up, build a robot and let the poor beetle alone

  • poor beetle :(

  • 鬼畜米英

  • hell yeah they are,so devilish

  • Yellow Submarine IS a good song. I agree.

  • peta is gonna be all over this. and by all over this i mean not caring because it doesnt have fur or a tail. stupid peta.

  • I, for one, welcome our electronically mind-controlled beetle overlords.

  • Lol... Bettle overlords. That is pretty rad

  • アメリカ人が全員死にますように・・。

  • Swearing is not allowed you YouTube.

  • クローンなんかよりよっぽど非人道的な感じがするな。

  • You know what, James said the same thing yesterday, and I was all like, 'NO WAY!' But he was being very stubborn about it.

  • Progress.

  • they could easily carry bio-weapons you know.

  • great disease impanted on them as we know that some insects like cockreaches are extremely resistant to nuclear rasdiation

  • Oh good, electronic mind control of a living creature.

    What could go wrong?

  • This is actually kind of dangerous. Beetles will eventually be replaced with humans.

  • not if they are controled by humans

  • wait a tic, DARPA got this idea from The Fifth Element!

  • awesome!

  • すごいことだし、将来役立つ場面も多いだろうけど

    禁忌に触れてしまった感じもするな・・・。

  • Very good, keep it up.

  • pathetic get u`reself a life. lamer !

  • "u`reself"
