  • Celine Dion's version can only compared to Freddie. Freddie was the best singer ever had been living on earth.

  • Elton is singing his lungs out. That's what Freddie deserves

  • SHOW MUST GO ON!!!!!!!!

  • Holy smokes : this fag sucks !!!

  • Kurwa zajebiste

  • It's interesting... Freddie died, yet, the show /does/ go on, with Elton.

  • GREAT GREAT GREAT !!! GREAT....

  • Unfortunately the show never went on...

  • We are talking about Elton John. One of the greatest singers ( different version) but no one can get close to FREDDIE

  • Nice Performence from Elton John, nice Remake!

    Best Regards from Germany!

  • вау !!!!! (ON THE RUSSIAN - wow !!!!)

  • die hard Elton fans, follow EltonJohnLyrics on Twitter :)

  • i think that elton and queen should tour together

  • @blymtin freddy mercury has been dead for years

  • Elton John's and Queen's performances here are not only great, they created from their love and respect for Freddie. Thank you so much for this.

  • look at that wig on elton......

  • Elton John kicked some ass with this performance.

  • -__- where's my Freddie in this...

  • @thanelkc About six feet under.

  • @pigeonbreathhed And both vocalists, Freddie and Elton have something that other doesn't have, most important is the feeling they make us feel :)

  • @pigeonbreathhed Ok, don't wanna argue, I just don't like when somebody insults famous singers :D Of course there could have been better performer for this who could have sung the highs better, but Elton's voice is amazing when he sings his own things like "Candle in the Wind", there his voice really stands out. :D

  • @pigeonbreathhed Elton has AMAZING voice... If all the performers in the show would have sounded like Freddie Mercury, there would have been nothing special... I love Freddie's voice and he is my musical idol but don't diss other singers, Freddie was more like tenor, while Elton's voice has aged and lowered into nice sounding baritone. What would Freddie and Queen's other members say about a fan who insults their dear friend?

Elton pulled it out his own way and he did it nicely. RIP Mercury

  • Freddie will never be forget because of this song... Even when he is dead, the show goes on.

  • Is that Tonny Iommy playing next to Bryan May during the solo?

  • yup! Tony Iommi played on a couple of songs during that show (in no order, The Show Must Go On, Stone Cold Crazy, I Want It All and Hammer To Fall if memory serves me right)

  • cant agree more freddie had no volume !elton had so many voices!

  • Elton John definitely does this song justice, WOW

  • can't agree more ... he did an amazing job!

  • these song can freddie alone good singing,he was incredible

  • woww..goosebumps

  • Great song...But Elton is singing it totaly other way and it is good too!Rly good version i love it...

  • le daría mas de 5 estrellas, pero no se puede

  • impresionante, no hay mas que decir

  • Elton should be the new Queen lead singer,or David Bowie!!

  • Elton John does a wonderful job with this song and I love this version!

  • Only Freddie can sing this Song.....<3

  • well. . . not really but elton certainly can't in this state

  • This was suprisingly good. I'm no Elton-Fan, but this one was very good!

  • Emocionante ver Elton canta esta muisica com o Queen expressão total ( Freddie Aprovaria sim sim....rsrsrsrsrsrsrs

  • you are the weakest link lol

  • elton john sang this one very well.

  • the best song

    the best tribute cover

    elton john did it great

and tony iommi on the guitar...

    simply amazing !

  • the we can fly bits pretty epic

  • Anyone with me to clone Freddie Mercury?

  • We could clone him, but it still wouldn't be the same. I don't think anything could take the place of the real Freddie.

  • we could perhaps start a treasure hunt after his body, and copy his DNA or something right...?

  • r.i.p. freddy

  • Elton John and a fist-pumping crowd is nothing short of epic.

  • whats tony iommi doing there

  • just attending to the show as one of the great guests queen brought. rock in peace freddy.

  • Iommi's, Freddies favourite guitar player, plus good friend of Queen.

  • This is greate performance and i know, Elthon is very good singer, but first refren wasn't clean ;pp

anyway greate performance, 5 stars ;)

  • i want a live version of this song with freddy :-(

  • so do I, but it's impossible unfortunately..... :(

  • CHI CHI MAN

  • Her soul is painted like the wings of butterflie... she could fly my friends !!!

  • when was this performance?

  • I'm pretty sure that this performance was the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert held in April of 1992.

I say that because I know Elton mentions how Queen had been working for their ass off and because of how thin Elton looks.

Also Brian Deacon is with them and aside from a performance in 1997 with Elton as front, he didn't play with Queen again after the tribute.

It's also night and seeing as The Show Must Go on was very far down the playlist at the tribute I think that's evidence too

  • thanks!

but its john deacon not brian! ha

    im guessijn a typin error?

    lol

  • Reggie pulled it off!

  • No, is not you, Tony Iommi is from Black Sabbath.

  • is it me, or is that Tony from Black Sabbath on guitar?

  • Crazy!! Iommi and May rocking out

  • Yes it was.

  • you need to take into account that freddy was a high powerful tenor and elton is a strong baritonr with slight retetentive tenor tendencies.

  • Elton John truly did do this song justice. Supposedly he was a close friend with Freddie and was visiting him often at the end. I am sure he has lost many friends to AIDS. This would be a very emotionally charged performance for him. I say BRAVO !!

  • I love the song, and I think Elton did a great job vocally, but when he sings it he doesn't have an ounce of cool. Freddie always had that special aura of self esteem, on Elton it just looks like he's trying to fake his confidence.

  • I'm sure that a guy like him used to performing at a piano is probably a bit uncomfortable standing and singing. Still great job though.

  • binary - perhaps the reason he looks like he's "trying to fake his confidence" is because a few months before this performance he lost a really good friend....ie, Freddie!

Give the man a break...he did an awesome job! Of course there will never be another Freddie Mercury...but Elton did a great job with this song!

God bless him...the remaining members of Queen...and the rest of Freddie's friends who put on this concert in his honor to raise money for the terrible disease known as AIDS!!!!

  • Well I know he was a close friend of Freddie, but that doesn't matter. I'm rackin' on his performance on stage, not his voice or how he interprets the song. I'm saying Elton sings this just great, but his presence on stage totally sucks. It's just awkward and stilted. Like a bad actor he's trying to put on Freddies confidence and totally fails. I've seen Elton give WAY better performances than this.

  • Elton Jon= one of the few who can come close to matching freddie

  • 1992 at Wembley Stadium i think!!

    omg this show was GREAT!!

    i wish i was there..

    Rest In Peace Freddie

  • amazing. I just love elton so much and queen! YOU GO EJ!

  • Simply amazing performance. Elton John definitely did Freddie justice in this!

  • Wow... that's pretty much all I can say. I absolutely love this performance.

  • Wow, Elton really knocked it out of the ballpark. AMAZING! He did a wonderful job.

  • jus brilliant, queen one of the best, and they still live on without freedie, but play in memory of him, it is great!

  • brilliant??

  • With the hands up in de air from the crowds. Gives me the shivers !!!!

  • Increiible.
