Thanks for all the Comments on this video...I am one of the reenactors in the video and that is a very close version of the rebel yell....and as far as the one who ask why we do it....well it is very simple.....go see one and look at the way they did things 150 years ago and watch a reenactment it will all make sence!!
if fate decided that the south should lose because of slavery why did fate allow the war to go on and allow hundreds of thousands of yankees to die? also worth noting that prior to the war almost no one in the north wanted to free the slaves because they were afraid they take away northern factory jobs, they only turned all anti-slavery because they figured they could hurt the south;s economy by freeing the slaves
Why would anyone want to reenact something like the civil war where there were hundreds of thousands of deaths and dismemberment. Slavery was evil and it was fate that decided the south should lose.
man im use to being on the other side of that(im a confederate reenactor that was there) is was on the far end in the last company its eerie to actually hear it when your noy in the ranks.......thanks for all the spectators who came out that weekend!!!!!!
Ok, that is intense, very well done. Imagining 3,000 of those coming at me in a wave is downright haunting. Thank you re-enactors for keeping history alive!
