  • YES!

  • At the first sight I thought they were having a barbecue party but then realized it was an instrument..facepalm xD

  • it needs to be played like...oh idk 200 clicks faster! too slow

  • @endoftransaction People can only move so fast.

You'd have to drink like 10 cans of Red Bull and eat a lot of sugar to be able to play up to tempo e.e

  • @navyroxursox or be an skilled Asian ^^ check out video called 'Flight of the bumblebee (Marimba solo)' And see, that its completely possible to be up to the tempo, and maybe even a little bit faster :)

  • @endoftransaction are you retarded?

thats like almost at tempo. listen to the original. it's around this tempo.

  • wrong notes and dynamics

  • @Thegoodmusicianguy wrong notes is not true, it's arranged and adapted by max leth, i've got the sheets and well yes, they missed some notes but overall, they played well.

and the dynamics weren't good indeed

  • @SimonIsCharginlasor dude, i posted this awhile ago, now that i've seen it again, they could have taken a little faster. but all around they did a good job

  • whoa, that was very, very good.

  • Dynamics...? And around 1:05ish the girl on the right should have switched to the other side of the marimba. Otherwise good job.

  • nice =)

  • I want to see the follow up to this where Scott was taken outside and shot in the head.

  • That is a BEAUTIFUL marimba. Well,, at least the keys are. How new was that thing at time of recording?

  • FUCKING scott ive had enough of your shit.

  • Stupid Scott, allways walking in front of the cameras!

  • 2x more speed then perfect..

  • GOD DAMMIT SCOTT WHY SCOTT WHY

  • Scott... WHY YOU SOO STUPID?!

  • @pingice2 okedokie first of all tell me wat my last comment stated huh! im educated in music damnit!!! so dont come in here wit that lame ass crap talkin bout i wanna see u do cuz no u dont cuz if u realy wanted to you wuldnt have lame at the beginning of your statement.

  • slowed down version

  • Well done.

  • ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • @xxvenom13xx first of all i am educated in music not percussion! i dont give a crap they shuld play better and are you serious your chunky ass is gonna sit here and say "its ok to miss a few notes" thats what practice is for you ass and before you go accusing someone of not knowing the arts of music think about it hard then make a decision. Thers talents out there but this aint one of em they ruined tha piece so if u wanna play it like that go ahead asshole!! more like 1 star and all u assholes

  • @AlligatorProduction5

your lame I wanna see you do it

  • @xxvenom13xx first of all i am educated in music not percussion! i dont give a crap they shuld play better and are you serious your chunky ass is gonna sit here and say "its ok to miss a few notes" thats what practice is for you ass and before you go accusing someone of not knowing the arts of music think about it hard then make a decision. • amazing.. I play the marimba too and.. this is pretty hard to play on marimba. Awesome girls!

  • amazing.. let me tell you guys that i play the marimba too so.. this is pretty hard to play on marimba. Awesome girls!

  • wow nice chemistry between the two percussionists :)

  • 8O

    daaamm..

  • Giant piano!! Nice

  • It sounds like its just random notes hitting a xylaphone or watever just to make a pass as the flight of the bumblebee. This vid is crazy lame!!! The xylaphone......isnt even meant For a masterpiece like this one. Absolutely horrible!!

  • @AlligatorProduction5

    It's not a "XylAphone", it's Marimba.....

    P.s: Not XylAphone....XylOphone

  • @AlligatorProduction5 Before you criticize, try learning a thing or two. Yes it sounds different from a flute and they messed up some. This instrument is called a marimba not a "xylaphone". And theres no such thing as a "xylaphone" either. And it was pretty good, not fantastic but good.

  • @AlligatorProduction5

You, my friend, are stupid. You want to know why? Because this piece was performed on a marimba, first of all...not a "xylaphone" (which is spelled xylophone by the way). And it can't be random if they are consistently hitting a tune. You can't just randomly play "Flight of the Bumblebee" on a marimba with two people. Helloo, even though a few notes are wrong, it's not a problem. They still sounded great. Get educated in percussion a tad before posting again.

  • Now do it with your eyes closed :D

  • OH YEAHHHH!!

  • Why did it look like the Asian was just watching T.V.?

  • @NandoTheShort because she's asian.

  • chuck norris could play this by himself, with his eyes closed, and hands tied behind his back. how? cause he's chuck norris

  • Comment removed

  • fuck....i can play whatever the hell you ask me to one piano and chromatic percusion but i CANNOT play inverted like that, what the hell?

  • Definitely amazing.......

  • this was so good halfway through it my computer exploded at the raw level of awesomeness and talent and i had to go buy a new one just to finish watching it.

  • Amazing!

  • yo the marimba is the bee's knees!!!!

  • cool...

  • Skills!

  • yes scot, thanks for walking in front of the camera... LOOOL xD

  • @jaapvorselen1

    "yeah jigga jigga"

  • this sucks

  • HOLY CRAP

    that was amazing

  • this is a nice performance and fun to watch, and i like seeing the changing positions of the performers.

but i don't think the marimba sounds bee-ey enough - it doesn't buzz. this piece has to buzz, if anything. with the marimba it bings and bongs and pings and pongs. maybe if you prepare it with something like paper that would vibrate against the instrument when you strike it?

  • @DerangedRanger1 I don't think it's the marimba, I think it's the mallets... I heard someone else play this on the marimba and it sounded more 'bee-ey'.

  • Genialeeees!

  • i've nightmares with this x__x

  • if i could stand inside a piano, i would play from behind the keys too xD 0:57 - 1:22

    and 1:35 - 1:40 the other one.

  • iou.....you just kill it

  • O_O

  • ya impossible for most ppl but not for dartmouth's indoor precussion pit.. haha we is awsome!!

  • pro..

  • thats amazing! all of that from memory too! Even though i dont play the marimba, i play piano, and that would be extremely dificult.

    great job :D

  • @RGBfanatic actually, remembering a piece is quite easy, really that aint the problem=)

but i like the teamwork very much=) kinda impressive how they arranged this for this marimbathing=P

  • @jetibest I disagree, for me, remembering a piece is a real challenge.

But yes, it is very good teamwork.

  • a bit slow.

  • Siiiick!

  • great! :D

  • how is this possible?!?!?!?!?! seen it on violin and guitar and im surprised it only takes two to play this, maybe 12 people? practice practice practice!

  • Man, the lat time i saw one of those marimba things was when i was in elementary school.

Lemme tell you something. I rocked the shit out of those.

  • fuck yeah man!

  • the most amazing thing i've ever heard... Great job =)

  • a friend of mine in highschool played the solo for this on xylophone xD

  • Lovely. Thanks for sharing. I love to see others that share the same passion for the marimba as I do.

  • Awesome!

  • haha, the awkward silence after they are done playing ... haha :D nice playing though

  • ok...this is seriously good playing (not to mention incredibly entertaining to watch).

    High Fives!!!

  • Spectactular! The way they walk around the marimba and continue the laying so smoothly as if they hadn't switched sides at all! Bravo!

  • Switching sides and playing from the reverse side of the marimba is incredibly, mind-numbingly difficult. both ladies seem to have no probs with it. are they slightly autistic, or just very, very brilliant?

  • lol yeah that was awesome. our drumline show had that this year. it was called "something different" and we played upside down

  • Comment removed
