Wholly merry, mother of pearl! I remember this from Medusas. Also I 1st saw the Cramps at the Arragon Ballroom in Uptown, the openers for Talking Heads, long, long ago.

I had the pleasure of meeting him once...he will be sorely missed. Both Lux and the Trashmen have their charms....however, I come down on the side of The Cramps because of the fact that they even chose this song at all in the first place. It has to do with artistic intentions, not necessarily the veracity of mere copying.

Gave the song a 1 out of 10 for the awful attempt at the papa um mow mow bit, tried to copy The Trashmen too much and just killed it. The singer couldn't do the brrrrbrbrbrbrbr bit properly. What the fuck is with the brrrrwowowowow?! lol

If you are savvy to The Cramps then you would know that Lux was not trying to copy The Trashmen but to pay homage to them and that he did it rather perfectly if not properly.
