  • I would like to know the name of the second song he plays... could anyone help?

  • Otis is the Boss!!!!!

  • Could you please up load the full version of hey joe if you have it? The part of it on this video sounds amazing. Thanks.

  • nice

  • Does anyone know of a duet that Otis does by title?

I was listening to AOL radio, and it came on, and I can't remember the name.

I knew I should have written it down.

It's not the one with his daughter.

  • Please tell me you have more of Hey Joe, because it's honestly like the best bit of music I've heard in a while. The album version doesn't sound one fifth as good as it does here.

  • AWESOME!!! and please do post more videos.

  • this is best cover of hey joe i've ever heard...

and jimi didn't write hey joe... its a verrrry old song

  • whats the song thats starts at 1:27 ?

  • They Wore Blue. Album: Definition of a circle.

That's the begining, but goes into Hey Joe, after into 10 million slaves... (sorry for my english..)

  • unless you mean "please come home before it rains", that's the more upbeat one with the electric mandolin

  • @Tschuesss the name of this song is 'please come home before it rains'

i've just uploaded it on youtube.

  • sosofreakinawesome!OMG!

  • What's the song that starts at 1:47?

  • "Hey Joe" from Jimi Hendrix orginally, Otis playing it with his own style, definetly one of the best cover of it.

  • Jimi Hendrix didn't write "Hey Joe". It was originally written by Billy Roberts.

  • You are right, my bad, I meant Hendrix made it a famous rock standard.

Although it's not very clear who made it first obviously, but it's definetly not Jimi the first.

    Thanks.

  • wow, do you have a full version of the 3rd segment? that floating tune is really nice. is it an actual song contained on an album or just improvised?

  • 3rd segment is called "Ten Million Slaves"

  • thanks but then I was wrong. I meant the segment before ten million slaves when he plays the electric guitar. do you what that is called? couldn't find it... thanks

  • I think it's an improvisation over "Hey Joe" ;)

  • Yes... that's a very nice re-work oh "Hey Joe", NOT one of the many workings bad re-workings of the Jimi Hendrix version

  • He has a cowboy/Texas style. :)

  • I just fell in love with this music man.

Last night watched a movie "Shooter" (Mark Wahlberg) and noticed this musician on soundtrack. Damn good.

    Bravo Otis Taylor.
