I apologize to everyone but i just don't understand why gay people are so defended. The gay people give a wrong message to our kids, the more gay people there are, the more people that will be influenced to follow. @olikamay, I did change my mind, after more than 30 years as a devout christian I began to realise I was wasting my life. 5 years ago I stopped dedicating my life to god and started living. I have never been happier, everything in my life is better without the burden of religion.

you conveniently ignored my other words such as devout, meaning devoted my life to god.
So I will amend the final part of my previous post.
, everything in my life is better without the burden of trying to have a relationship with a god.
Please do not pray for me, for one thing when your final trumpets begin to sound I am certain you will not remember me and another thing is I do not want to be associated with you or your (insert word here of your choice) god, religion, saviour, sky fairey etc

Fisc--how can one person (president or otherwise) 'offer' another person or group that another person or group is going to respect or give them equality short of FORCE? Think hard about this.
This 'law' is equivelent to the horrid 'Affirmative Action' law passed many years ago, the FORCED employers to hire a certain percentage of people of color. This not only was unfair to the employers rights, but also to the people of color (stupid phrase) themselves.
Respect is EARNED, not legislated!

I think it's important that we not only know what the Bible reads, but also what it says. The passages condemning gay people have been mistranslated and misinterpreted over the years. Also, we must understand the cultural context in which they are written. Research it some. You might be surprised by what you find.

Hundreds? No make that thousands! Ancient Roman and Creek generals and people slept with both men and women. They sought pleasure wherever they could find it. Social life, education, philosophy, math, and science were all progressive.
Then religion came along and blocked a lot of progress. Then the dark ages and so on.
