I actually don't like this "malmsteem" shredding soloing, but I think it's a very powerful version, and it's hard to guitar player to put his own style in a hendrix song, since the guitar player must have a good knowledge of music to do so, not just be a reproducer of something he learned and repeated exhaustively. Although it's not my style, it takes a good musician to play hendrix like Phil X does.

It was good. The fills in the beginning were cool and in the Hendrix style but when you started improvising the solo (which was very impressive) I was a little disappointed in the style. It was waay to 80's for a Hendrix song, especially Fire. The arpeggios and dive bombs seemed out of place.

Good memory! The song was done twice and I was playing with mixing the end of the second version with the first. There was incomplete audio for the second version. Just experimenting with different things. Glad you like the videos, and keep watching....Hotel California and Snortin' Whiskey are edited and waiting for some color correction.
