If we're going by World Series wins then guess what, Jim Rice ain't no HOFer and Don Drysdale gets 99% of the vote. That's a dumb statement. While I wouldn't call it "east coast bias" I would venture a guess that probably 60% of the time the wrong person wins an MVP award based largely on magical unhappenings like "clutch hitting" (a myth), or "Diving catches" (Jim Edmonds "Hold up so I can dive and snag a ball and get on ESPN syndrome"). The result is fringe players like Rice in the HOF.
