That sounds awful. If you want the growl effect just try humming while you play. That's how I do it.

dont show the notes.. juste show how do you make the crapy sound with your tongue. we dont care if its a D or an E. hahaha. but to make a good effect just make a sound with you throat in the same time. let say a minor third lower than the note you play. its gonna soud a lot beter. like (singing in harmonie with the horn.

it's just exactly about the notes, the exact fingerings. Otherwise you do not get that crapy-sound. There is no tongue involved
