This sure looks as a pretty smooth landing! You can barely distinguish the touchdown!

Might have landed so gingerly because he was concerned about the spoilers deploying unevenly, which apparently they did. Asymmetrical drag could have caused the plane to veer to one side.

@nemlou i think they do that for emergency landings, watched a few other emergency landings and they only deployed about half the spoilers, although the spoilers here did go up 3 times as slow as they normally should probably due to the loss of hydraulic fluid. these are just obeservations and im not exactly sure.

Airbus aircraft has 3 independent hydraulic systems. 2 is pressurized via engine driven pumps and 1 emergency system that deploys a ram air turbine. All of them is capable to power the Flight Control System so you can still control the aircraft, even with all engines out.

the backup hydraulics system helps control these things. The reason airbrakes to not deploy in these isntances (i think) is because the hydraulic power is diverted to more primary functions. Flight controls are seperated between 3 hydraulic systems so that if 1 goes down, you dont lose everything
